Thanks to QPR Report. The ride into the Prem on the back of that Championship winning season never felt comfortable first with the Ale Faurlin saga, then the refusal to spend in the summer ahead of a forced sale to the wrong party that took forever to get through. The team we started that Prem season with was miles behind the team that won the league the season before. A miracle that we got a win in that second game at Everton. It should have been the start of some great times for us, but the 10 years following that promotion have been as hard as I ever remember as a QPR fan. If things come together in the next couple of seasons, the least we should hope for is a gradual climb, then a gradual improvement season on season and investment in the infrastructure. If Bernie had sold to Amit's family, would it have been different?

We'd presumably have signed Routledge, Graham etc rather than Wright-Phillips, Barton, Kieron bloody Dyer, Jay Bothroyd, and Luke Young. We'd have had a far better shot at staying up, or at least keeping a solid team together if we got relegated. Warnock would surely have stuck around longer, which might have brought more out of Adel. Amit would have stayed on the board. No Hughes, no Redknapp, no Bosingwa, no Julio Caesar, no Modibo Maiga, no Javier Chevanton, no EFL fine. I'm sure we would have found some other way to be a complete basket case of a club, but so many of the troubles we've had over the last decade all stem from that one off-season.
