And what an amazing father to dedicate his life to his son’s football careers.
My dad would never leave the pub long enough to ever see me play,but I didn’t worry too much about it,but it would’ve been nice to have had him there just once.
I think their mum must’ve had great patience to allow them to move the furniture around so they could play in the front room. |  | | |

That's a real shame Stow. I experienced the same with my netball games, neither parent ever came!
But as you can imagine I went to almost all of my boys' matches, and still go occasionally now the younger one's 17, and his father went to quite a few too, especially in the early days.
It's quite heartwarming to see Willock pere's dedication and to see how it's all paid off, he must be so proud. And I bet he's as proud of the older one playing for Gillingham as the other two in the Prem and Championship. |  | | |

My parents both watched me on a Saturday afternoon but not on a Sunday morning as they went to church/chapel.
I'm told that my father continually told others how good a player I was, but I wish either of them would have told me that, even if it was just once! | | | |

Of course Newcastle will bring in plenty of players in January, but I can see them doing a Mark Hughes and getting players who have already achieved so much that they have no incentive to really play for that club or any other. Newcastle aren't going to win any trophies this season so players who've already won some are going to see pulling their fingers out for a relegation scrap as beneath them.
They'll almost certainly destroy the championship next season if they come down, as will Norwich. Both have previous for that. Next season would be a good year for us to go up via the playoffs on that basis. We'll have had to really fight it and we'll have forged a squad competing with the likes of those two, built on what we've already created this far. So if we go up then we'll already have the core of a squad ready to make a good go of the premier league and we wouldn't need to dismantle it to accommodate a whole load of new signings over that summer window. |  | | |
