Loading to prevent injuries 17:43 - Jul 29 with 3079 viewsnumptydumpty

Been said Smyth and Armstrong and also Fox not playing due to the new overall fitness, nutrition guru coming in.

So players that could potentially gain from minutes don't play due to what is termed loading and key defenders Dunne and Clarke Salter get injured before the season starts.

Am amazingly sarcastic with this kind of total b*llsh*t that is entering the game.

We have had dreadful injuries to key players throughout the last two seasons and now before a competitive ball has been kicked, we literally have zero central defenders.

We have let half the midfield go with no replacements at all.

But some of these new training initiatives to be honest it's all complete baloney.

We consistently have had beyond terrible injuries for a long long time.

It almost seems like it's a scammers new profession - loading advisor !!!

Walking in a "Mackie Wonderland"
Poll: Where will we finish next season ???

Isn't loading just another word for injured ?

Smyth and JCS clearly have muscle injuries but they're trying to cover it up by bullshitting us again

Just be honest with us as it's going to be toxic enough as it is this season

Smyth’s fcking injured. They should grow up and stop pretending otherwise.

It is beyond me what you get out of sitting 20 of your most committed supporters down in a room on Thursday and telling them he’s fine and he’ll play Saturday when he’s not and he won’t. It’s proper David Brent and the redundancies stuff.

It is blox Norf......I fail to see why he played some of the so called 1st team squad to a poxy non league team like Bedford. And I do go with fitness etc, etc......get them all together in the changing room, watch the game, see players reactions, get involved, etc, etc.

Fooking Bedford, I ask you!!!

By the sound of it Dunne's injury had nothing to do with fitness, it was an awkward fall. JCS and Smyth injured? Well blow me down. Looks like we've found our scapegoat for the season.

It's taken you all summer Gaz, but as usual we've ended up on more or less the same page. See you in Watford.

What benefit do you think he's getting out of that ?

To me all he's doing his burning the small amount of credit he has left with the fans

I don't know. He thinks it's to throw opponents off the scent, but it doesn't seem to be having a lot of positive impact results wise does it? I said it last year, what it also does is create a vacuum of information about why players aren't playing into which social media etc will slide conspiracy theories and you end up making pariahs of your own players because people like Balogun and Roberts end up missing five months with something you said was "a bit of a calf problem".

In his interview after the game he said he might have to take a few risks with players due to the lack of CB's available.

That went out the window quickly.

Smells like a trout farm in here

Can someone who's smarter than me explain this new loading term to me?And where it fits in with match fitness?

What does GA think will be gained by throwing our opponents (Oxford in a PSF) off the scent, when our opponents (Watford ) next week will realise that Smyth's injured when he doesn't play against Oxford?

"Remember to listen to me but look at her. Don't get it the wrong way round. That would be hideous."

Add it to the list of methods that only work in a lower league environment at a far smaller club.

I'm confused .

So, Paul Smyth Is injured ?
JCS was pulled off after 13 mins to save him for the opening game
Armstrong isn't injured ....just played for the. B team
Taylor Richards os another mistake
Wing wanted a three year deal and decided to sign for another League 1 club , who also has financial problems.
Chair and Willock are still here , no one wants them ?
Our only recognised Centre half - got injured and now our main centre half will be a player rejected by another mid championship side.
Haven't addressed our right back issue - short on centre backs , signed a back up left back
Hoping that Sam Field stays fit all season
Relying on Lyndon Dykes to set the league on fire.....
Got shafted by a League one team in last prison warm up
No sign go new DOF
No Idea what purchased TF shares
Fans moral seems very low

On the plus side
Training ground looks good and we have signed a decent keeper

I expect the next few weeks to be busy with more free transfers of unwanted players and good use of the loan ,market hopefully

Not what I heard after last few games of the season .....
