Bad luck? 08:04 - Oct 5 with 1705 viewsdmm

I don't normally moan about bad luck but the video compilation below has changed my mind. The last three games have just been diabolical.

Send that to the FA and ask them to "be nice!"

Dont know why we bother. .... but we do!

Nothing to do with luck

With the way we setup we're getting everything we deserve

Clive has discussed before the dreaded combination of being not very good and not very lucky.

Poor decisions, yes, but in a way I am glad they happened in those three games, because we would have lost them all regardless.

Every team near the bottom of the league bemoans luck. The truth is, good sides overcome ‘bad luck’ or make ‘bad luck’ less relevant to their results. We should have had a pen on sat, but we’ve missed 2 out of our last 3. Last night we lost 1-0 but as with the Cov game, we never at any point looked like we might threaten to win it.
We are absolutely doomed and i actually think staying up has hurt us far more than going down.

Bare bones.

I mean we didn't even lose one of them even with them being allowed to punch the ball in the net Marcus Bean style. But who needs facts to back up an accusatory negative rhetoric eh? Just let it all flow...

"Nothing to do with luck" ??? Last 3 games: a very early goal for the Opposition allowed which was "scored" with a hand; a clear penalty plus red card for their Keeper not given; our Keeper given a Red in error last night. We may have won the Swansea game and possibly picked up a point or 2 in the last 2 without these gross errors from the Officials. Scandalous is an over-used word but understates what the Officials have done to us the last 3 games. Hope we appeal last night's red. It should be rescinded. We aren't playing well but these 3 huge errors by the Officials most probably cost us points.

We allowed Swansea to dictate the game and they should have scored before they got the goal so you you could argue we were lucky to not already be behind . The goal was also a keeper error which again isn't down to luck

Same as Saturday how many times did we allow Simms to run through on goal before we got caught again could argue lucky we were not to be further behind

As for the red last night it didn't change the result as we could still be playing now and wouldn't have scored and again we were lucky not to be 2 or 3 down

End of the day the table doesn't lie and you make your own luck in this game .

Apologies, you are right, but you know what I mean. The decisions have been appalling and of course don't help, but they are not the reason we are playing like a pub side.

Saturday was one of the worst decisions I've seen aside from the Austin header against Sunderland. But it is a tough call to say even if they had gone down to 10 men and we had scored the penalty that we would have turned it around, given how we were playing.

Absolutely agree with that. Fair and balanced. That should have been your first post! :)
