Loads of pissheads who I nearly had a row with. Got to my seats high up (2 seats next to an aisle) to find two people in them, who we moved on. Loads of blokes wanting to stand at least two to a seat all around me. One particularly pissed bloke wanted to stand in front of my seat and in front of me. I told him I wasn't having it, he and all his mates in front got the hump and a bit trumpy.
I said everyone there must have bought a seat with a seat Number so go to it, which they seemed to think was an outrageous suggestion.
Usual thing happened, didn't see them at start of second half (never understand why people make long journeys only to stay in a bar. They all come running up when we scored, then disappeared again when we conceded.
I can give some latitude but they were trouble waiting to happen. |  | | |

It was due to a few of our lot making their way to the back row to abuse the home fans which led to a few scuffles from those that had seats in that area when it became too cramped. There were several words exchanged between Police and the stewards with our fans and the stewards were particularly over zealous at times. I spoke with old bill a few times who to be fair were ok with me, but even they blamed the stewards. Old Bill starting filming the crowd but they weren't too pleased when I started filming them. Silly I know, but whats good for the goose..... |  | | |

had exactly the same thing at Bolton last year, standing in front, still drinking in 2nd half.

I too am bemused by the people who make the long trip and then stay down in the bar for most of the game.

Someone near me commented that he enjoyed spending upwards of £100 to waste a day watching our shower capitulate yet again.

It's always like this when we struggle, used to be loads of fights between fans during away games in those few months before Warnock came in and tons of them when Francis was taking us down.

I only really go to away games these days.
Can't remember the last time I did not see our fans arguing amongst themselves. It must've been 2 or 3 seasons ago! Just off the top of my head in the last 18 months I can remember seeing punchups between QPR fans at Anfield, Goodison, Villa Park, Carrow Road and White Hart Lane.
I blame it on there being too many cokeheads who think their day is not complete unless they've had some kind of row. Usually just verbals and a lot of posturing and chest-bumping, occasionally boiling over into actual fisticuffs.
In the last few years, there often seems to be a lot of aggression from the singing fans who like to slag off those who don't sing as not being proper supporters. That's nothing short of pathetic. I suppose this is just an extension of how the Loft used to sing "Paddocks Paddocks give us a song" and then go "aaaaaaaaaaaaaaah!" when they didn't sing. But that all seemed far more good-natured. |  | | |

No offence to those that want to sit but I wish common sense would prevail and they would do away with allocated seating and allow those that want to stand stand at the back and those that want to sit do so a bit further forward.
Is it unreasonable? At Arsenal I ended up sitting on my own as all out seats were bought separately. Where is the fun in that. |  | | |

Away ends should always be unreserved seating IMO. Then those who want to go at the back and stand and what have you can, and those that want to sit can go further down. Also would make it easier in these days of loyalty points where groups of people going to the game can sit together even though they had to buy their tickets seperately.
One thing I really don't understand though is people who pay £40+ to go to a Premier League football match and spend the majority of it downstairs either doing lines or smoking in the bogs, or watching the match on a small TV on the concourse. Went down for a pis after half time and there were as many people down there staring at the screen as there were upstairs! |  | | |

Unreserved seating is fine for some but if you get too many wanting to stand at the back you have a problem, it happened at southampton a few years back and Northampton and our group struggled to find one seat let alone 8.
