Reading these threads of late, makes me want to slit my wrists and end it all!
Honestly, some of the short-minded poeple on here just make me laugh...
Years ago we begged for rich owners to come in and save us - they did and ran the club as a business. We moaned and protested that they leave immediately as they didn't pump money into the squad. We then stumble across a man who, in my opinion is ideal for us and allows managers to make the decisions as he has no football knowledge - but hang on - this isn't right either, as he's pumped too much money on players and doesn't have a scooby about the game??
In terms of managers - Holloway was outspoken when in charge, now he's considered a God - Gigi couldn't speak a word of English and therefore wasn't right for us at the time - now we want him back coz he played great football. We urge for stability and sacking managers makes our club look like a joke... Redknapp's been with us for months and we already want his head for a 'younger' manager whith ambition (based on what?). We want a manager who stands his ground, makes his own decisions and isn't bullied by the owners, like most were under Flavio - then, when our current boss says what we've been asking for in years, it's not right and we want rid?!

Might as well have kept warnock and the hard working players that got us too the prem what we have now is an utter mess we still have a ton of players to clear out and the season is just edging closer reading have begun there rebuild while we are racing around doing what exactly playing silly bugger to if Harry will stay or will he go Barton playing god and clearing out the likes of dj Campbell who wants to play for qpr and any money he scores against us next season | |

I want a manager who wants to be here, backed by a football savvy board that isn't afraid to take criticism. I want a squad of hungry players who don't see QPR as a pension plan but instead view the club as an opportunity to progress as professionals.
I want pretty much the opposite of the last couple of seasons. I don't really care about winning, what league we are in or whatever - I just want to enjoy watching rangers again. |  | | |

I agree that getting rid of Warnock was the start of the problems and, if the vacancy becomes available again, (god forbid) I'd jump at the chance to have him back, but to say Redknapp doesn't care because of a few Sky sports interviews is a little niave.
Managers that show too much emotion are told to be quiet - managers who don't show enough are labelled heartless and are just in it for the money. You can't win!

i just want the club to run the playing side with a sensible budget that is sustainable and build a squad within that budget, not a great deal to ask. If the manager wants Wayne Bridge or whoever then we go for him but if the wages are beyond the budget we don't just agree to it we learn to say no and if that means missing out on some players then so be it.
You can't have a situation where the manager talks about how he scouted suk-young at the olympics and wanted to sign him, he also has Traore and Hill who can play left back yet then wants to sign another one on big wages, at some point you have to draw a line and decide enough is enough.
iF Bridge really was out key first choice signing this summer then god help us, decent player but his wages could easily be used to bring in 2 or 3 other players we actually need with a sell on value as well |  | | |

The OP suggests that supporters are short-sighted and hypocritical, but I don't recognise the views described at all.

My objections were that a) They were criminally incompetent (see managerial turnover) b) They were going to get us relegated c) Briatore was an arsehole

The point isn't that TF has spent too much money per se, but that it has been spent incredibly unwisely, and in such a way that has saddled the club with potentially dangerously unsustainable ongoing expenses, and moreover (IMO) radically altered the culture of the club such that it is unrecognisable. In its new state it is hard to see a road towards what club needs to become to rectify the mistakes made in the past couple of seasons.
None of this is to say that spending money is bad per se, but the manner in which it has been done is very, very myopic. And this isn't by mistake, it's by design.

HR doesn't want to be here - for starters. Therefore I think it's pretty clear that our long term interests are not his interests. And the position we are currently in requires long term vision. I mean, there's just so much to say on this that has been said elsewhere. If we carry on along the current trajectory, which is what HR represents as a manager, I believe we will see QPR move beyond being an embarrassing shambles (I hate seeing mercenaries play for us), into something close to crisis. For example what happens when we get relegated again and the club looks like something that will *never* be profitable because it's in L1?
