Fair play to Brentford.
We could have nicked a goal, but we didnt.

Great as always.

A bit harsh on JET. I thought he covered most of the pitch and made up for a number of other players having a real off game. He was only forced wide because he was the only player in a 30 yard zone. No one went tight to him or helped him at all when he had to hold the ball up.

His long throws are pretty useless and it is a mental tactic when he is the only player big enough to get on the end of things. BUT, that is a tactic approved by the coaching staff and it was up to them to say at half time or even during a second half momentary break, can that and get into the area and let someone else take shorter throw ins. Can't really blame JET for doing what he has been told he can.

The overall problem is that JET fades to the flanks because we have absolutely no shape and are disjointed. Everyone knows we can only break down the right and so Phillips is marked out of games. Konk is fine but not able to support Chery, so we have nothing down the left as Chery isn't a winger. We have no usable width and that means we have 9 players left. We don't use the midfield to attack, so that leaves 7. You start to see the problem when one of that 7 is in goal and 4 others are defending.

Never knowingly right.
Poll: How long before new signings become quivering wrecks of the players they were?

Good fair report on the game, not a good game of football but great atmosphere. The post saved us just before HT as Button was beaten and lucky not to bounce back off him into the net.Thought the long throws were pretty desperate we will get better as more players return from injury can't say the same about you unless you change your manager.

We were missing Fer, Sandro and Austin to be fair. Charlie got some minutes but he's been out for a while and is probably not ready.

Also thought the atmosphere was terrible, but then I was in the upper tier and sound didn't seem to travel very well. Apart from after your goal and at the final whistle, the crowd seemed quiet. I was expecting a similar atmosphere to LR when Chelsea came there a few seasons ago, but it was nowhere near that.

As above though I expected a Brentford win and you probably edged it, although I don't think a draw would have been harsh on either team.

Fair play to Brentford. I thought you worked harder as a team than we did. It was a tight game but sadly not in much doubt after you scored. We seemed to clam up and try and see a 1-0 defeat out. We succeeded as well!

Never knowingly right.

Spot on in your judgement about the atmosphere, simmo.
I've been to nearly 10 Bees matches in all in the the last 3 seasons always in the same seat in the Braemar block 8305 and can say Fulham made more noise than R's and by far the noisiest of them all was 'Wall.

Brentford over these matches whether Ealing Road or Paddocks just do not sing much, even more listless and apathetic than our own fans at home.
More noise than any other Bees match I've attended, yes, switching codes, but still not brilliant.

Nothing, nothing whatsoever to compare with the intimidating white hot heat wall of hate, noise and boos that we had at LR on October 23rd 2011.
Hadders superb post on another thread also describes it all accurately and truthfully.

'I'm 18 with a bullet.Got my finger on the trigger,I'm gonna pull it.." Love,Peace and Fook Chelski! More like 20StoneOfHoop now. Let's face it I'm not getting any thinner. Pass the cake and pies please.

Hadders excellent post said the atmosphere was amazing and raucous ! He was sitting very near to me.I have been to LR many times over the years and yes on their day/night the atmosphere is great but remember it holds nearly 10000 more than ours.
