Albums 20:39 - Dec 9 with 213 viewsqprxtc

Are a work of art and should never die. They probably won’t.

But as a fifty year old and getting older by the second git, the art of the album as a work seems to me to be needed more than ever.

Giving that 35-50 odd minute work your full attention and either being drawn in or bored silly by it. The experience is the thing. What do we give our full attention to these days? FULL attention.

Even to our friends, partners or going to the cinema ( those days) where you pay to watch it and still think something more important is happening somewhere else and I’m missing it so I’ll look at my phone oh my mum wants to know how I am.

Albums on vinyl are really the perfect way to listen to music. Like a cinema for films and a book for books. And sex is good but you can’t “beat” the real thing.

That’s the experience of life.
