Twickets 09:13 - Dec 5 with 2052 viewsstowmarketrange

As I knew that I couldn't get the night off for the Brighton game I decided to sell our seats on Twickets.I put the price as £15 for mine and £5 for my Daughter's,a total of £20.To my shock they went within 15 mins.It told me that out of my £20 I'd have to pay them £8 for the pleasure of selling them, and as they only use Paypal it will cost me money to withdraw the funds.
They charged the buyer £29,and I'll end up with about £10.Not bad work for Twickets for doing very little.

At least Viagogo were a little bit fairer than these pirates.

Sounds like basically a scam, shoulda put them on here mate, also I believe on twitter there's a Q{R ticket type bloke who you can go via, depends a bit on you situation I guess.
Is Twickets related to the club at all?

Used them a few times for gigs and once for QPR and don't see the problem tbh. For other events, they don't charge the seller at all and it's a flat 10% for the buyer, but it seems they have a special arrangement with Rangers where the buyer and the seller each pay £4 per ticket. When you're listing your ticket cheap like the OP, it takes a big whack out of your cash but if you're buying a full price tkt, it's not so noticeable.

Not sure I agree that viagogo is fairer! Their charges are ridiculous for buyers and sellers.

Out of his 20 notes they take 8 pound from get go, thats a scandal surely
40%???? Maths ain't my stong point but with PayPal he only gets 50% of his original twenty must admit never used Viagogo so haven't really looked at what they do but based on this I wouldn't use this.
Thinking on what I originally said it ain't a paper ticket I presume so they have you by the short and curlies?

Like I said it's a big whack if you're selling your ticket cheap, but not so noticeable at full price. It's just for season tickets atm and I was more than happy to buy an extra gold ticket for the Leeds game at £24 including fees rather than £32 face value.

I sold my tickets on Viagogo for the 5-2 Forest game a couple of years for the same price and got £17.60 back for them, and that was put straight into my bank account,so its a big difference to about £10 on Twickets, and being paid via Paypal. As soon as I'd sold them I regretted it and I managed to buy a ticket in R block for the game anyway.

I would have sold them on here but they are season tickets and there is a problem with getting the cards to the buyer and getting them back again afterwards.

If I went full price I don't think they'd have sold as after their fees it'd would've been cheaper to buy direct from the club.
I won't be using them again though.

Hi. Our service was built with a view to users charging around the normal match day price of a ticket, and we structured our fee at a flat rate which we felt was reasonable against those prices.

We hadn't anticipated people selling for as low as £5 and agree with you that in these circumstances our fee of £4 is too much. Please can you send us an email < cs@twickets.co.uk > and we'll arrange for you to receive that amount back in full? We'll also change our charging structure for tickets at this price in future.

Thanks

Richard

Well that's half decent service.
Anything is better than Viagogo. Legalised ticket touting resulting in Man Utd and Liverpool one a season scum crawling all over our home.

I agree Clive, but at least on Viagogo the charges are added straight away. With Twickets, the amount went from £20 to £12 and then back up to £29 paid into my virtually dormant Paypal account. They then deducted £17 from that and then I also had to pay Paypal £1.19 to get my money paid into my bank account.
I do appreciate Richard from Twickets taking the time to reply on here and I have sent him an e-mail in return.
It would have been difficult to sell a concession ticket at £15 for a midweek Sky fixture and therefore I reduced the price to a more reasonable level. When you buy a season ticket there are always occasions when you can't make a game, and it is always a bonus if we get anything for the tickets, but I hope that the system for reselling tickets could be made a bit easier in the future.
