Reply | Who Is Off To West Ham On Saturday

Hi, I couldn't get a Saints Away ticket, but was offered a spare ticket from a West Ham friend. However, I can't make it now as I am helping my daughter move house.
I did check today, and they are still on general sale/ticket exchange (most sections).
Hopefully the wind and rain eases tomorrow, not just for the game, but because I have hired a 7.5 tonne lorry and haven't driven one for at least 20 years. It is scary to think back in the 80's you got a C1 class on license after passing your car driving test !
Enjoy ! [Post edited 23 Oct 18:43]

I would just join queue to get to station, rather than go to Pudding Mill Lane. It is still a bit of walk to Pudding Mill lane, and then you have to get DLR back to Stratford, for Jubilee line back to Waterloo. Pudding Mill lane is not a big station and you could still possibly, end up queuing for DLR ? Worst case, you could get caught with People going to AbbA Voyage show early !
The queue is to just regulate people into Stratford station. Last time I went it was around 15 minutes.
As it is forecast to p**s down, it may be worth considering going back through Westfield shopping centre, and walking to Jubilee line from from there, but this route is usually regulated on match days as well. |

That is one hell of an admission, that you listened to a Pompey match.
Did you wake up today full of remorse ? |

John Burridge was far from the worst. His pre match warm up routine was also legendary. [Post edited 16 Oct 18:34]

I accept he has done ok since coming back in for Wood. Nothing outstanding, no significant errors but he does contribute to the slow build up from the back, which often invites problems.
He has a role to play as a squad player, but I would still like to see a new CB come in, but that is going to be unlikely in the Jan window. Nobody gets rid of quality CB's in Jan unless they are nearly out of contract. |

This post looks like an invite from SalisburySaint to be his mate, and watch the Ashes ?
I am in, if you struggle to get 12 mates to go with you !

1. Always enjoy Norwich games, shame it was mid week, as there are some good pubs in City Centre.
2 Met a few new Uglies’ in the Coach and Horses. Mr Angry of this Parish was not impressed with the team sheet when it came out. Good to meet you Mr Angry and hope you got over the disappointment and made it to the game !
3. There were a few empty seats at back behind me in Row KK, but not like last year where there was a complete small block unused.
4. Chris Marlow (Saints Marketing officer) was on my train up, looking lost In second class !). Guessing there wasn’t room on club charter plane.
5 Missed extra time to catch train as I messed up times on Train tickets on Train line App selecting specific train times. Can’t remember last time I left a game early. [Post edited 15 Oct 18:17]

up by train, and back same day, with a quick sprint to catch the 22:02 after game. Hoping there will not be much extra time.
Shame it is mid week. |

Great 3 points.
Poor touches by Bragg that led to 2 unnecessary fouls and red card. When he got the first card, I always felt he was a risk. Even Flyn Downs didn't get booked, I would have had him odds on for a card today !
Portsmouth were poor and will be relegated. Peretz didn't have a big save to make.
The Saints subs were spot on. [Post edited 11 Oct 14:27]

I undertand Larin has a back problem/strain. He missed the Canada game with Peru, but read he has stayed with the squad for Canada's game with US. Surely, he would have been recalled/sent home if it was that serious ? |

How did you get the tickets ? I did one game last year at Porto, but it was hard trying to get tickets and ended up getting them on secondary market. |

I'd agree with this.
Larin had some good chances today that he should have done better with. He often came back too deep to receive the ball, which left options up front limited.
We do seem to have drifted into old habits, playing it around at the back a lot. [Post edited 19 Sep 17:14]

Fellows was slow to respond , ended up on his arse. He should have done better to stop ball into box.
Not much Sclotterbeck could do to stop it.
Periods where we were sloe to build up again today, but with 19 shots and 7 on target, it was definitely there for the taking.

Sloppy goal to give away from a corner. Moore, the one person we needed mark in set pieces had a free run at it. |

Agree. I thought he was very average last weekend and being subbed after 60 mins, Bristol City obviously felt the same.
I am still not convinced, but if he bangs in 20+ I will be first to say I got it wrong. |
