Yes, they were brilliant although I remember mine being heavy duty plastic and not solid metal.

Also, focusing the sun through a magnifying glass to make the caps go off was a good one.

Have you ever considered what you consider "Daily Mail comments" might actually be the general consensus perhaps?

I sympathise with the cause but disrupting your normal punter will win no friends/support.

That video cheered me up no end this morning to be honest.

When I was 15 I was lucky enough to go to California on holiday. They had these frisbee rings (you see all the time now here but not back then the ones that are rings not just discs)
I bought one and my brother and I managed to lose it on the very first throw when we got back to England. It went a bit further than we expected and ended up on the roof of some flats, never to be seen again.

Whereabouts are you in York mate?
I used to go up there a lot when my mother-in-law lived in a place called Sutton-upon-Derwent.

Great thread.
I had a matchbox motorway but it turned out to be a poor substitution for a scalextrix set as there was no racing involved. The cars just went round the track in a fixed place.

My favourite has to be Casdon Soccer. Brilliant game that I managed to pick up again for peanuts on e-bay a few years back to play with my lads. As endorsed by the highly coiffured Charlton.

That is a great video.
I love how Manning is looking back up to the screen to watch the replay after the first goal.

A few of us met up before the game in the C & S . It was a pleasure to not only meet Pommy but also LBlock, paulparker, WesrBerks and Punter from here. Pommy being back for a visit was the catalyst for that meet up.

Great looking but not the most comfortable I agree.
Quite partial to Pumas. I have a couple of pairs of Puma G Vilas that are probably my most worn trainers.
