I would think that as the mayor of London maybe he should be focusing on making London more accessible, less expensive and generally more welcoming for tourist to come and watch a game and enjoy the sites. Maybe get local hotels to offer a football package weekend. Perhaps during off season get get local clubs to offer special priced tours. How about getting 'traditional' pubs near grounds to offer a pre game lunch before seeing a live match. Come on Mr. Khan, I know you visit this site, as mayor surely it must be your job to promote London and entice more visitors. Flipping 'eck it' s not rocket science. Engage brain before making stupid statements.
I think we all, or most of us, are in agreement that Mr. Nourry is a bad a** breath of fresh air, and is doing things properly. So if he has a few petty foibles about the way he goes about things then meuh, so what. in Nourry speramus
'With Armstrong, I don’t see how he fits into our team moving with the style I think Marti is going for.' Well obviously Marti didn't think that way since, by all accounts, Sinclair was offered a contract extension. So he obviously saw potential that he could fit into our style of playing.
I have to say that I've been hoping that Chris see sense and signs, a 2 year deal with a release cause seems a good deal. But today it struck me that the season starts in a month and he is still faffing around, nor bothering to bond with the team and take part in any preparations for the new season so Chrissy you can, as my grand pappy was so keen on saying, take a flying f**k at a rolling donut. I hope you get what you're looking for, but don't hold your breath.
It's all well and good to believe it is part of a divine plan when he thinks a better offer from a premier or top championship club is just around the corner. I don't have a problem with that. As long as he also accepts his player/coach roll at Farnborough FC in a few years time as also part of this plan.
Considering his contract finishes at the end of June, I would think that if Chris Willock is traveling to Spain tomorrow then it's obvious he is signing a new deal. Or is it normal to take an out of contract player?
I hear ya Brian, I used to be a tour de france addict, watched every minute, but these days I seem to be only interested in the time trials and mountain stages, and of course the final finish in Paris, which takes place in Nice this year. Between this the Euros and then the Olympics my Mrs. Is constantly rolling her eyes at me. What a summer of sports! Oh la vache ! As (some) of our French brethren (occasionally) say.
Just watched the interview, he says he's very exciting to be here. He is very exciting. Exactly like my french girlie says when she speaks English. Welcome Paul.
The mostly unappreciated talent of that Canadian crooner, Gino Vanelli. He's been part of my musical voyage since I first heard him at my local ice-rink back in the winter of '74. Still going strong with those powerful lungs. God bless you Gino, thanks for all the memories.
I imagine Marti is an ambitious guy, but I believe he has got a lot of scrupules. Does anyone honestly think he will give up his current 'project' i.e. us to manage a team that finished on the same number of points, but with two more losses, than us. I'm sure he realises that a much improved season at Rangers and the world will be his lobster (curtosy of the late great, Hilda Ogden), and better opportunities will present themselves. Remember it's grim up north.
Personally I think this is a load of crap. Marti appears to be level headed to get involved with this and the undoubted media circus that would developed around MBappe the younger. So for that reason I'm out.
Gudrun Ure, or supergran passed yesterday at the age of 98. My children were young at the time so I had a good excuse to watch it. Silly comedy like the goodies. I loved it. God speed Gudrun.
Well it probably changes every week, for the last few weeks been musically reliving my teenage years with my brother's favorite band, Grand Funk, they put Flint Michigan on the map. So today it is this gem, will, undoubtedly be something different next week. Enjoy!
