Great speech by Mark and thought he didn't remarkably well in responding to the Leeds morons. Direct debit set-up this morning.

Trevor Francis’ perfect hat trick — History
at 16:24 7 Apr 2017

Not only was it a perfect hat-trick it was also a perfect performance by Francis. Every little flick and touch and lay-off came off in that game - certainly wasn't the way when he first came but that afternoon was an absolute joy to watch.

Give Washington a chance!

Eh? Can't recall Washington being given a hard time at games (by the fans) - been very supportive considering his impact on games,

To Stan, with love: A Stanthology

Yep, I read the first few pieces on the tube home after the game but had to stop as I seemed to have something in my eye... Very heartfelt, moving and well written tributes. I never had the privilege of seeing Stan in action, and I'm very jealous of those who did.

Loftus Road - the noisiest you remember?
at 18:41 29 Feb 2016

Agree with all the Oldham and Chelsea votes. The reaction to Furlong's goal the noisiest I've ever experienced but the relentless barrage of hatred to Chelsea that afternoon was something very special!

I thought Polter did okay today. Some nice touches and even more promising was his link up play with Washington. So refreshing to see two forwards playing as a genuine looking partnership. Very early days but there's hope, at last.

Faurlin.. what a performance

Yep, Faurlin was fantastic today - again. Total game is spot on. So great to watch. Why he isn't captain of our club I dunno.

And conveniently ignoring the fact if he'd signed Defoe he would've played him right-midfield.

Think July have said it wasn't them (I'd have claimed it anyway). Believed to be The Barrier.

Love the Factory. Could've come from the baggy-era.

And let's not forget the greatest psychedelic football track of all time...

30 years ago TODAY
at 17:32 22 Sep 2014

30 years ago and I can still remember more about that afternoon than most others since. When we got one back I hardly acknowledged it; the second got a clap; the third I suddenly got interested. My god, we can do it! Only that seemed short lived when it went to 3-5. Then 4-5 and the great escape was back on again. The equaliser, well, sheer pandemonium. Kind of knew then I'd never witness a better game of football.

Having also been there "that" night I've also detested everything to do with that club ever since. The things I saw that night will stay with me forever unfortunately.

No sympathy.

Dunne for me. Always in control and that bit in the second half when he flicked the ball over the attackers head was my favourite moment in the game apart from the goal of course.

Our fanbase needs to get some self respect
at 13:29 4 Aug 2013

I couldn't believe it either that Barton was afforded some kind of returning hero status. Remind me again what he's done for us?

Fair enough applauding him leaving the pitch after putting in a largely decent performance and I'm not advocating booing players but to cheer him in such a way before he'd even kicked a ball? Was amazed. Hope you all remember it when he's slagging off the club again.

Chanting "Skinhead, skinhead" to bald players. That Southampton geezer springs to mind (although not his name).

Wouldn't really work these days.

RIGHT THEN... Where does everyone think we'll finish next season?

15th. Having worked our way up to there after a late surge rather than dropping down to there.

According to my Newcastle supporting mate: "You're getting a good player in Danny Simpson. Honest, hard working and defends well." I'm happy with that.

Characters, right sorts, top blokes ...
at 09:58 30 Apr 2013

What I've never understood is why this doesn't routinely happen anyway.

Don't clubs try and find out about the character of the player they are considering buying in the first place? Seems crazy they just employ anyone regardless of attitude or how they might fit in with the rest of their team mates.

The Strypes hype
at 16:18 28 Jan 2013

I've seen them and for an R&B covers band they are incredible. But they've been hyped so much and they only have a couple of their own songs. They'll go some way off their initial excitement but a five album deal (which they've got) seems somewhat excessive if they don't come up with the goods. A lot of pressure on them.
