Assuming Stephan lines up as a 4-4-2 against next season, which seems likely.
Kemper at LB
Varane or Morgan alongside Madsen. Chair does not belong as a CM in a 4-4-2. I'd argue this position is the most important area, yet one where we have the most limited options.
Vale at RM, and Chair at LM both to cut inside seems likely. Smyth as impact sub against tiring legs. |

That one is on Tuchel. Going back 5 against Mexico was justified, we were down to 10 men. Against Norway it worked, because it was less time, with only a plodding Haaland as the main threat.
But Argentina are not those two teams. And to do it on 70 minutes, with 20 + injury/hydration time to play just invited endless pressure. The extra CB made us less safe. It didn't protect it against either goal. |

Like last season, the away kit is not great. Lilac is a very weak colour. I'd like the away kit to be something + black hoops, and black shorts and socks. Doesn't always have to be the red Dennis kit. We've had a light blue and black in the past, even last years pink would have been good with black hoops. This lilac one would also have worked. But ALL lilac? Not for me.
The amber trim on the home kit is a bit different but I quite like it.
But far more than the colours, what I absolutely detest is the MrQ sponsor. I didn't like Copybet at all, but this is worse. So cheap and tacky. |

Definitely stay. He's done well overall and will have learned a lot from his first season in the Championship.
Its the injuries that need to change. No team can ever reach its potential if half the team is out of commission each match day. |

Best mate supports Spurs and we try and even out seeing both teams each season. Seen more Spurs this season, and it's an amazing stadium even though it lacks the charm of Loftus Road.
I don't want them relegated really, but the prospect of Spurs v QPR twice next season is too good to be true. |

Seven Sisters or Tottenham Hale is nearest, been many times. Amazing stadium but lacks the atmosphere of Loftus Road, but I'm biased. Pints pour from the bottom of the glass. Best mate is a Spurs fan so we try to get a decent number of Spurs and Loftus visits in if we can.
Will be surreal to see both playing each other next season. Never thought I'd see the day. We're not there yet, but it doesn't look good. |

I started following football properly in my early teens, and fell in love with the Gerry Francis team of the early 1990s. Stejskal, Bardsley, McDonald, Peacock, Wilson, Impey, Holloway, Wilkins, Sinton, Ferdinand, Allen.
Supported QPR ever since.
What a team. A proper 4-4-2 with wingers. |

Fantastic signing, awesome player. Really pleased abut this.
We're still a bit light at full-back though, especially if RND returns to his parent club anytime soon. Maybe going to back three is the grand plan. I can absolutely see Ronnie as a sweeper type CB, carrying the ball out of defence.
Probably not, but it sure would suit him. |

So much depends on keeping a clean sheet, and they did great tonight.
Burrell up top every time for me. Not sure what the deal with Kone is, hasn't scored for a while. Makes the team selection easier though, hopefully JS realises this and keeps Chair as the no. 10 and rotates Kone and Burrell in attack.
Its looking a more settled team, especially with Mbengue at RB, which makes a lot of sense. [Post edited 26 Nov 2025 22:06]

Come on, hang in there for a bit longer. Team is built for 4-2-3-1 - Burrell up top on his own, Chair as the no. 10, two fast wingers, any of Dembele, Smyth, Saito
JS got the team selection right tonight, irrespective of the result. Good call. |

Exactly this. I do find 3-5-2 quite interesting, and alway watch out for Inter Milan when they play, as they have the purest version of this. For us though, too many players don't fit into this system, and the RWB/LWB roles need a certain type of player. RND would work on the left, and maybe Smyth on the right? But it's not ideal, and other than those two I don't see any others in the squad that can fill those roles.
If we sign Edwards (yes please), though, well then I see him as part of a back three carrying the ball out of defence and into midfield. Maybe then a 3-4-3 (with wingers) is then possible, no need for full backs, as we don't have any anyway. But the Kone/Burrell conundrum persists.
I've personally always favoured a compact, resilient and counterattcking 4-4-2. Grit in midfield, and pace down the wings and up front. [Post edited 12 Nov 2025 9:10]

Morning all! First post, long time lurker here, so though I'd finally join. 
I think we'll end up around mid-table. The leaky defence and overall inconsistency will mean we'll in stuck in that middle pack. I think Stephan is still trying to work out how to get Kone and Burrell in the team at the same time. Clearly he wants them as a front two, but that leaves central midfield understaffed, but playing Kone deeper, or Burrell out wide, is not ideal either. We'll likely see different iterations of this until the end of the season.
Mbengue at RB and Dunne at CB makes a lot of sense, I hope we see that again.
Team is a big improvement over last season, though. So we're moving in the right direction, albeit slowly. |
