10 players contracted, 17 either out of contract or loan expiring. I half expect us to try and sign Broadbent & Dorsett permanently, but one thing is for certain - 2022/2023 will be a fully Stockdale squad. Out of everybody in contract for next season only Keohane & Grant are survivors from the BBM era! Hopefully the rumoured increased playing budget, coupled with a more settled club and experience from this season, will see a more competitive team next season. [Post edited 10 Apr 2022 10:11]

What I meant was something along the lines of say £700 per week basic wage and then a further £1000 for each appearance.
Other bonuses for wins would be the same as other players.
That way the bloke gets a living wage and is also encouraged not to loiter in the treatment room! |  | | |

Downing must have been on at least 5k a week at portsmouth so offering him £700 a week plus an extra £1k then bonuses you really think he would go for that.....
Try a basic £1.5k plus the extra £1k and bonuses then he maybe tempted....
Anybody know what his past injuries have been!
Apart from getting kicked or taken out in a game other injuries are usually caused by not being overall fit in the first place or rushed back from injury.. |  |

Back 4 or 5 still needs some work unless we think Jim/Taylor/Graham are gonna contribute more minutes this season.
Think we were already short of attacking midfielders but with Grant going we're looking quite sparse now.
Looking like an even bigger turnaround than expected. So should be plenty more new players coming in yet, maybe 5 more?! | |

Like when we started 09/10 with McArdle, Stanton and the novice Dawson at centre half, Jones, Kennedy and Toner as our only real midfield options, Dagnall, a soon to depart Le Fondre and Jon Shaw up front? Then we won promotion.
Plenty of examples, the main thing is we have already started recruiting players in key areas of the pitch. |  |

If he cannot get those players then he isnt the manager he as led us to think he is...

He has got permanent signings in. Four of them, covering the crucial roles of goalkeeper, centre half and defensive midfield with experienced players and also bringing in another option up front. Also, as has previously been noted, a huge amount of players’ contracts end on 30th June.
Can people start appreciating what we have rather than overreacting to what we don’t FIVE weeks before the first game?
Or maybe we’re missing out on the mass panic of not having enough options off the bench should we qualify for Europe in the next decade. Either or. | |

It's been a much better start to pre season than last year. We didn't sign anybody for ages (embargo) and we've signed 4 so far already.
We'll have trial players, loans to come... plenty of time before the season starts so do not panic! |  |
