Had a lovely day today in the vaults of Port Talbot Library.
This is how the local music scene was looking in 1965.

Far from it, it was a genuine question and on subject, I hope you don't think I'm spooling another thread that you'll start and one that I may or may not contribute to.
You haven't answered the question by the way

Black jacks. That's what they should have called the Ospreys.

Jackportis the brand. “A gifted poster”, “planet swans have a real talent on their hands in the name of Jackportis” sky sports 2018. . JP fully supports posters of LBG, mx orientation and ethnic minority groups. Update - now fully supporting the pansexual community.

Shouldn't that "All Coloured Group" at The Empire have been The Chantels?

If you had called into Barrie's of Baglan for a trim Darren you would have seen that he has a poster from the Ritz in about 1966 with the Kinks I think.

Life is an adventure or nothing at all.

My brother saw Thin Lizzy and Supertramp play Penywaun welfare way back. My old man witnessed Tom Jones getting paid off at Cwmbach legion too.

Thank you, goodnight and bollocks

I think Deke Leonard was in the Corncrackers. Great to see some illustrious bands frequent the local scene.

Pete "Llam?"

Is that a misprint, or did he change his name when Badfinger became big?

One of the most awful, saddest stories in rock history.

I sincerely hope their American manager is roasting in hell now.

Oh I did post it did I?

No it's a misprint and Mike Griffiths should be Mike Gibbins too.

You do need to cut them some slack though it is Port Talbot after all.

I've heard elsewhere that he was a bit of a douche.

Ham on the other hand was a saint by all accounts.

RIP to both of them in any case.
