Who does everybody want to go up? Personally id love to see Wednesday go up, based right next to Sheffield, and be a ground I haven't been to in a few years!

Wednesday could go places if they get up. Big stadium, almost 40000, and very rich owner.
Bit like Newcastle and Villa.

Swansea Indepenent Poster Of The Year 2021. Dr P / Mart66 / Roathie / Parlay / E20/ Duffle was 2nd, but he is deluded and thinks in his little twisted brain that he won. Poor sod. We let him win this year, as he has cried for a whole year. His 14 usernames, bless his cotton socks.

Another vote for Wednesday - Hull is too awkward to get to.

Don't give two hoots. 6 points from either of them would be very handy next season.

Exactly.

Come on Hull, they've got an owner who wanted to sell up, and we know they're capable of getting relegated.

I can think of few fans more deserving of a return to the big time.

Sheffield is rather depressed right now after socialist "regeneration " which has killed the city and led to the likes of the don valley stadium going.

I remember in the early sixties Peter swan, bronco Layne and tiny Kay getting jailed for chucking matches.

I've been there with a Wednesday friend to see us lose 5-0 in the snow. Tough times.

Great people over there and no northern monkeys either.

Nice to see you back Perch!

Re Sheffield - I work with a company based there and the city is the very opposite of depressed. Booming at the moment with new employment, housing and regeneration everywhere you look. Lot of money going into the city and big prestige employment opportunities with companies like Rolls Royce. Lovely place.

Lisa.
We were there not that long ago and the centre IS run down and several undesirables around.

It's lost thousands of jobs and it has big debt.

It's not the worst but it's taken a hit.

Hull for me for the reasons already given. Wednesday would be the big unknown. Though in saying that, if we are going to be worried about who comes up every year in case they are better than us, then that says more about us rather than the teams in question.

As a sidenote, has anyone mentioned that Norwich have been relegated three times since we've been in the Prem!

Nonsense - I was there 2 weeks ago and it's a great city these days. The centre is all being done up, the area around the train station has been done, the shopping centre is good, the old industrial bit is full of galleries, cafes, bars and restaurants, the west of the city as it leads out to the Peak District is lovely and even the area out towards Rotherham is booming, with the Advanced Manufacturing Park on the site of Orgreave with Rolls Royce having moved in and the housing all going up around it.

Huge investment going in with a lot being spearheaded by the two universities and a lot of work happening as a result of HS2 and the Northern Powerhouse initiatives.

I'm sure it has some grim suburbs but every single city in the UK does as well.

I remember Swan & Layne returning to football for Bury in the early 70s. Their first game back was at the Vetch. I saw it. There was a lot of hooha in the press about it.

It's just the internet, init.

Remember a game back in the 1970's when Wednesday fans were 'banned' from travelling away after crowd trouble.

I was sitting in the Double Decker season ticket seats as usual with my old man when just as the game was going to kick off about 200/300 Wednesday fans stood up all around us in the Double Decker and started singing....

'I never felt more like singing the Blues, when Wednesday win and United lose etc ......'

Took the Old Bill by surprise but no trouble just a great atmosphere that day ...

Funny but I can also remember that as though it was yesterday. I had a season in the double decker with my grandfather near the front and the noise from behind us was quite something.

Great memories.

We must have been sitting quite close together then Lisa in those days ...🙈😘

Gordon Jenkins (Huw's Dad) was sitting immediately in front of us and we went on many away trips with him in the 1970/1980's - we were about 7/8 rows back from the front in the middle of the Double Decker - great view that !!!

I do admit that on occassions I would go up to the back of the stand and join Steve Tennant and his Sketty Park mates for a good old singsong !!!

Happy days !!!

My Dad and myself always sat in the double decker in the 70s. About halfway up behind the goal. Stamping my feet with the rest of the stand when we scored.

Dont want Hull because they are quite strong. They were pretty good in the first match against Derby. Cant see Wednesday avoiding the drop if they come up.

If Hull dont come up, can we sign Elmohamady to run up and down the right flank delivering top crosses?

If you can fill the unforgiving minute. With sixty seconds' worth of distance run, Yours is the Earth and everything that's in it, And - which is more - you'll be a Man, my son!
