Am in London on weekend of 13th May for a family thing. West Ham are playing home V Liverpool that weekend, does any body know how difficult tickets would be to purchase for this game? No affinity to either club so do not care where I sit, just a chance to visit the stadium and cross it off the list as I cannot go when Swans are there.

Thanks

Should be easy

Make sure you head over to Cafe Spice Namaste if you're in and around that area

Although it's a big match I think that you should be OK, but best to email their ticket office. It doesn't matter about "affinity" because the Hammers are used to being visited by foreign visitors in London on holiday who also want to tick a "soccer" match off their bucket list.

I live 5 mins from the stadium. Tried to get tickets for the FA Cup game against Man City, rang their ticket office and sold out.. and that was for FA Cup so wouldn't be overly confident of Liverpool in the league.

Poll: 6 point deduction and sellouts lose all their cash?

You live 5 mins from there?

You must have more money than sense 😉

Depends in which direction he lives, but there are some very nice, expensive properties around Vicky Park. I seem to remember a backstreet boozer near there with a landlady from Swansea that I've never been able to find again (as I said, it was in a backstreet - aristocratic name as I vaguely recall).

I live in the Olympic Village, the building where the Bulgarian and Japanese athletes stayed. I have not actually plucked up the courage to step over the other side of the stadium

They sell out consistantly. 57,000 average attendance, most of those empties will be away teams not selling. I would be confident in saying you will have to look second hand for a ticket against Liverpool. But if you get to the ground there are people selling them pretty openly quite often, but would imagine the price woukd be higher than face value.

I will stand corrected.
Orthapeadically.
I didn't realise the w@nkers had attendances that high.

Where are you based?

If you fancy a trek across the Jubilee Line, I thoroughly recommend this place, this is owned by the people who opened the first Indian workingmens club in London, which they sold in 1989 for 900k:

http://www.regencyclub.co.uk/

Queensbury station.

Garlic Mogo
Mushkhaki Lamb
Chicken wings
Methi Chicken
Garlic Naan
Almond kulfi

Nice range of beers there too.

I will pre - warn you, the food is spicy. Don't ask for onion bhaji or a korma either, or you'll end up on the charcoal grill
