...so it really is our fault for flogging arms to Saudi and supporting Israel.
This justifies all this then
Right?
The West's ties with these Islamic terrorist organisations runs deep. From US' Operation Cyclone in the 70s and 80s which saw the mass arming of militants and the rise of Bin Laden. From the Saudis siding with the West in response to the Iraqi invasion of Kuwait in 1990, which was the trigger for Bin Laden and Al Qaeda to expand terror activities to the West starting with Nairobi and the 9/11. And from the rise of ISIS in response to the second Western invasion of Iraq.
Successive Western governments have undoubtedly got blood on their hands, all in the name money and power.
Of course if we hadn't got involved and Bin Laden had been allowed by the Saudi's to rise up to openly fight the Shias himself there's no saying that things might have worked out any differently. There's a chance if we'd have kept out of it that the Sunni/Shia conflicts would have been contained in the region and the West wouldn't have become a target. But who knows.
Nothing justifies it, but we (our Governments) should be doing more to understand the reasons and not keep making the same mistakes. Trouble is a strong response (a 'War on Terror') is seen as a patriotic vote winner. And there are still arms deals to be signed. And oil and gas reserves to be exploited and controlled.

Oh look, an Israel mention. How predictable.
Sadly, the view is as usual bollocks due to ignorance.
Daesh have prospered due to fighting forces who joined up for the money solely, whose main tactic was to run away leaving weaponry behind. Against any well organised and motivated force, Daesh lose. They give a pass to Israel knowing full well IDF would wipe them out easily.
If Russia, US, UK committed numbers of ground troops, Daesh would very quickly be on the run. Fear of getting into a land "war" has aided Daesh.

We re as bad? You sick fecker. Words fail me but if you cant see the subtle differences ,you need help .
Its futile even discussing it really .
It doesn't really matter to the victims or their families whether they are killed by someone wearing a vest or a bomb dropping from the sky - they are both cowardly acts.,The result is the same and the ideology is irrelevant

Sometimes innocent deaths prevent more innocent deaths.
Hiroshima, Nagasaki to name but two.
Without those, there would have been many, many more deaths.
Of course it matters not to innocent people dying, that's obvious. Claiming any form of moral equivalence behind bombs being dropped and Daesh suicide bombers is ridiculous. One unfortunately causes innocent deaths as well as targetted, "deserved" deaths. The other only ever deliberately attacks the innocent.

The Bombs weren't dropped on Japan to prevent deaths, as they clearly didn't. it was to get Japan to surrender to the Americans before they surrendered to the Russians, nothing moral there I'm sure.
The bombing of German and British cities during ww2, purposefully targeting civilians in their homes would be deemed a war crime if it happened today.

The bombs dropped on Japan caused the war to end, full stop. So it prevented far more deaths longer term.
