I may be being naïve on this, but how the faaking hell can a 'proposed transfer' get to the point that 'it could have been sealed Wednesday' (tomorrow) if the selling club hasn't accepted an offer?

The only previous statement by the club was yesterday saying that they hadn't received any bid. Obviously today was the day Everton put in that bid and the club said no.
Was it super cool or mischievous by the club to not react to all the press speculation? They could have said days ago that Ash wasn't for sale. Maybe they just want to make some people look stupid for saying the deal was done... |  | | |
