I went to that one, if it was the same game, away at Lincoln. We were all over them like a rash, couldn't score even when their keeper mis-threw the ball to Trundle on the edge of their area.

Then they have a rare attack in injury time, have an angled shot from 20 yards, Monk sticks his boot out and it hits his toe and loops high over our keeper's head (was it Gueret?) and into the net.

Four hour drive home, fuming. The joys of following the Swans.

Found it Monny, it was 86/87 we won 2 nil, the reason I remember it is my best mate in the mob at the time was a Lincoln supporter, there was an incident with a police dog on the pitch if I remember rightly which caused a delay in the game

Coincidentally it was Burnley who stayed up that day at the expense of Lincoln.

Didn't the exact same thing happen the next year at Lincoln, an own goal in the last minutes to beat us?

Well remember going to Sincil Bank in the late 70s on a cold late March day.

We were flying high (3rd) and they were rock bottom.

We lost, of course.

I remember working a Saturday night shift in London then going up to Lincoln for a Sunday kick off around 1985 then travelling back to London to do another night shift.. think I lasted about an hour into the shift. Also remember the LTE were very active that day.

I've just seen it . What a total bellend!

Red for stamping, yellow for rolling around pretending to be hurt and another red for hitting the Lincoln player in the face.

Once a tw@t, always a tw@t.
