1) is kind of true I reckon. I base a lot of my gambling on relegation for all 4 divisions around the teams goal difference and there does seems to be something in it. A lot has been made about our lack of goals - which is true - but we have been quite tight at the back. Normally teams that struggle have problems at both ends. Interesting the other teams tended to sign attacking players when for the most part defense was worse than attack. everyone seemed to be in agreement that we needed a forward which we got. So for all the negativity (mostly unwarranted) the club identified the problem and have tried to address it |

The fact that the 'top 6 teams' have dropped more points againts 'the rest' suggests that you may need more points than normal to be safe this year. Chelsea are 13th on 28 pountzso there are more points floating around. At the same time Villa have 13 points and if they give up completely there will be more points for other teams. Added to that some potential candidates eg Leicester, stoke, Watford and Palace all probably have enough points already. I think a good 40 will be needed this year. 3 points from everton was massive |

I ve got to admit to feeling chuffed when i saw this even though i thought Curtis was doing ok under the circumstances. Performaces had definately improved and despite the result against Sunderland all the players looked 100% committed and no ones heads dropped despite the shocking decisions. One of the big problems has been that some of the other strugglers have started to put results together. We really need 3 points later |

On the replay it looks like a foul by lens to me. Naughten gets there first, wins the ball and Lens catches him on the side of the foot as he swings for it. His feet arent high and his studs are facing down not towards the player. Wheres the foul there?
That said in real time it did look bad and I thought oh no this could be trouble |
