Hope I am wrong but so far this guy looks garbage.
All well and good scoring a few in the jock pub league but today he was slow and looked totally out of his depth when he came on , even getting in the way of Vipotnik who was about the smash it goal bound.
When he was put through clean on goal he was slow and non committed, also reacted like a snail at the end when it came back off the keeper, then ball placed perfectly on his head to nut it miles over.
His record at Norwich was 8 goals in 100 games, that hardly inspires confidence, it was a bit better playing in the pub league but when your squad costs 10 times the amount of virtually all the others thats not hard.
£6 million wasted I am afraid. I doubt if the dud gets us 10 league goals this season.

He’s got that X factor about him. In truth, he didn’t do a lot more than Idah last night, even as the game opened up, but he’s always got the potential to change a game with a strike out of nowhere.
He had a shot from a ridiculous angle which went into the side netting. If that was anyone else, they’d have had stick for it, but because it was Vipotnik I half expected him to score. | | | |

Different parts of Vipotnik's game seem to be improving as the season progresses, his challenges in the air are far more competitive and allow us to fight for the ball higher up the pitch. Last night we saw him having balls into feet back to goal playing first times ball into spaces in behind the fullbacks that any player let alone a winger would gladly run onto the switch of play turning defences and certainly takes the pressure off our defence and creating space in theirs. What little we saw of Kuharevich he played similar types of balls classic centre forward play. Vipotnik now looks a stronger unit on the ball attracting two or three players to crowd him out but get support around him quick enough and our goal threat will increase even further.
Idah has areas of his game he needs to work on but if we can get supporting players around him I can see him improving and causing problems up top. | | | |

The thing for me is that having a player who can score with rockets from outside of the box with both feet should be an enormous asset to have in this league and should terrify opposition defences. I’m sure from what I’ve seen of Matos that he will sort out the best service for him. | | | |

The difference this season is opposition analysts and defensive coaches have seen what he can do and that increases the jeopardy - last season was different as opposition defences would have felt more confident dealing with Vip who was seemingly a bit of dud / carthorse.
Now he attracts several markers at once because they know they can't sit off him and risk him getting in a half-turn and shot. This opens up spaces for others and generally causes more chaos.

He’s arguably one of Vitor’s biggest challenges

Yes , it was noticeable Zan was far more willing to bust a gut and effective when he came on , winning balls and catching opponents in possession and putting the Centre halves under more pressure | | | |

Matos has said if you show that you want to close players down and show that side then you'll get into the starting lineup - in so many words. Idah for me reminds me of Yates sadly. Looks like he is chasing people down but kinda gives up. I would like to see what Wales can do and given opportunity. I thought the same with Eom and VP would of got on end of it. I stand by my opinion that Idah was very much a last minute panic buy, as at the time we wasn't seeing the VP we are seeing now. We tried to get other players in and the one that was said to be the Wow signing. Can't overly blame the club for going in for Idah. Like I said I won't rule him out but I do think he is gonna struggle in Matos team. He isn't a player who naturally wants to do chasing down. | | | |
