Mbengue Yellow card - FAO anyone who knows about betting 08:42 - Dec 11 with 1484 viewsingeminate

After watching Mbengue's 1st tussle with Demarai I hurried over to my betfair and put a few pounds on him to get booked. Got 7-2.

They've not paid out - messaged customer service who said they'd check, come back in an hour and resettle if necessary, it stayed lost with no explanation.

Are they right not to pay out?

I had the same bet with Betfair, who didn't pay out for me either.

spoke to their customer service who said that the bet is only valid for players on the pitch at the time - subs, managers and after FT whistle (as examples) are exempt.

told them that this was stupid, Bet365, PaddyPower and SkyBet all paid out (a lot of us had this bet ) but they said tough luck.

I've immediately closed my account with them. i doubt they'll reach out to me again.

Can we not knock it?

Varies by company for these I believe as some have paid out but also if the bet included the ‘super sub’ thing then Morgan’s booking should cover you

Wow. That's very bad form.

Nothing surprises me in business today. Every one is out to "shaft" others and fairness and decency are more absent today than they have ever been.

Can we put them in charge of suspensions?

How is Mbengue looking, do we know, for a stay in Joel Lynch's Christmas in Dubai?

Believe he's on 8 for the season. So 2 more before the 2 match ban kicks in.

Amnesty kicks in from game 32 so he’s 100% picking that ban up at some point over Xmas and near year fixtures.

Believe he is on 8 currently.

He gets a 2 match suspension if he collects 10 yellow before the 32nd game.

The best of these now is betting on fouls. Caicedo clatters someone against Arsenal to the point he’s sent off but as the ref played on at the time it’s not technically a foul even though the bloke has received a red card for an obvious foul. Paddy Power used it as a marketing exercise by paying out on it when they didn’t have to.

Betfair customer services are a disgrace. Their opt in bet, where you get a matching free bet, is regularly reneged on, either with the most bizarre small print in the terms or failing that saying you didn’t opt in when you know you clearly did.

It’s a shame as it was a good company when it started out as an Exchange, but since it’s expanded, so to speak, it feels like it’s being run by wrong’uns.

Noticed recently it resides in Ireland and set up so it’s become very hard to speak to an actual living person, the chat bot is something designed to exasperate to the point of giving up.

Sounds very suspect if that wasn't made known to you when placing the bet.

I’d write to Amadou himself and ask if he has a free morning or afternoon when he can join you at the bookmakers you put the bet on to demand a pay-out there and then. Pay out plus an additional fee for taking up Mr. Mbengue’s precious time.
