The Central League 05:53 - Aug 6 with 4719 viewsspell_chekker

We're supposed to be entering a reserve team this year.

I can't find a fixtue list but PNE (the current champions) have published theirs.

We're playing them away on Tuesday 27th September at 2p.m. and at home on Tuesday 24th January at 1p.m.

It looks like the season is starting on 23rd August.

FT: Blackpool 2-1 Bolton
The Seasiders opened up their Central League account with three points against Bolton.
Blackpool created the bulk of the chances in the game after Wanderers took an early lead and were good value for the win with a strong side starting the game.
A Beryly Lubala penalty and CJ Hamilton loft over the keeper sealed the deal for Stephen Dobbie's men.

Cheers Spell 👍

Grant Ward??

Is Garbutt still injured?

It's very nice of us letting Ward train and play for us to regain fitness and get his career back on track.

It's something the other players will see and will probably approve with how Ward's (colleague and friend) being treated. It would've been the easiest thing for Appleton to shrug his shoulders and turn his back. "Not my responsibility" sort of thing.

Where we run out winners is the man management side of things. The squad must've bought into everything on the back of this.

Garbutt still out which makes it difficult to get him out on loan / sell.

I'd forgotten today's match is in the Central League Cup.

We're in a mini group with Accrington, Fleetwood and Carlisle.

Apart from Grant Ward it'll be interesting to see what team is put out on Tuesday.

Bridcutt or no Bridcutt?

Cameo from Anderson?

First team fringe payers like Garbutt or does everyone have time off?

Another one called off at the last minute. It was hardly worth rejoining the Central League:

Central League Fixture Rearranged

This week's Central League fixture against Preston North End has been rearranged.

The match, which was originally due to take place on Tuesday afternoon at Preston's training ground, will now take place on Tuesday 7 March, with a kick-off time of 2pm.
