The fact they brought Marti in has given me a bit more confidence the board haven't completely thrown the towel in.
Still half a season to go.

We'll see.

This - 100%

Same suspects throwing the towel in that did last season, only this time I think we have a better man at the helm. Have to give him the January window to see what he can do, THEN and only then should the towel even be considered being thrown in.

3 poor performances and I have even seen people saying get rid of MC - Madness in my opinion. We have to see if he can assemble his own side first

I'm at a loss as to how the poor fella's going to do that, with what?

Calm down everyone… January is upon us and we still have the school end crying out for sponsorship, Chair and Field to sell and a manager who will already have a short list of European talents to bring in for a net saving… let’s keep the faith.

Who said anything about throwing MC out ? Guy should be given a medal for taking us on in the first place. It's the players who need throwing out.I'm going to take a lot more convincing than you are that things will improve...but I will be very happy to be proved wrong.

It’s highly unlikely there is going to be much being done in the January window other than a left field freebie

Before today I thought we would have enough to stay up, but today was a cowardly performance.

Keep MC, and bin the players. League 1 awaits.

5 points from safety again, no matter what we do we are relying on others to mess up.

There are certain players at this football club who simply are not good enough to play at this level, and quite frankly they need to be moved on, how they are professional footballers is beyond me.

I dont blame Marti for this, hes walked into a bad situation here.

In a way, dropping into L1 might be the kick up the a**e this club needs, we can at least get rid of the deadwood.

its going to be a tall order trying to get another 30 points on the board.

If you seriously believe that this squad is capable of winning that many games ( 10 from 22, having won 5 from 24) I applaud you, you absolute mentalist.

Happy Christmas everyone.

Glad to see we are spreading the light of humanity on the board tonight.

Never knowingly right.

To add to the tidings of comfort and joy:

Rotherham won

"Things had started becoming increasingly desperate at Loftus Road but QPR have been handed a massive lifeline and the place has absolutely erupted. it's carnage. It's bedlam. It's 1-1."

But W12, how many of today’s starting 11 were signed by Ainsworth ( let’s keep some dignity in the debate and not resort to cheap insults) ? It’s becoming more and more apparent that the problem is the players more than the various managers. We now have a different style of play but same old 5hit . Like it or not GA kept us up last season and it remains to be seen whether we achieve that this season. We’re all hoping that Marti can unearth a Gyorkores type striker- actually a Rob Steiner would do nicely. Don’t hold your breath though .

Said last season we needed to take the drop then, this is just a season of delaying the inevitable.

I’ve also said this before but I think a lot of fans are getting the team they deserve.

Ecclestone and a funded 4 year plan, bizarre as it was carried out, ultimately resulted in us getting back to a league which, let’s be honest, we’d all given up on believing was possible less than 10 years earlier. What did they get for it? Slaughtered.

His replacement, the clueless Fernandes, somewhat lauded in his early days by the same fans and once again incapable of reading the room, has led to the fiasco of the last 11 years.

The same fans, exultant at the coup by Les and Ramsey over the foe that preceded, who at least had us in a fighting chance of staying up at the end of December, had thrown the towel in before the middle of March. A complete and utter capitulation in the space of two months and yet still those same fans backed the new regime to refloat the club.

This has always been a club of bandits that need to be run by a tyrant. Take the tyrant out of the equation and you get players who take the piss, managers who have their legs cut from beneath them before they’ve got them under the table, academies who stay on the books because nobody has got the gonads to fire the lot of them.

What we are left with is a carcass of a club that is as much the fault of virtuous misguided fans as any of the miscreants this club keeps employing.

He didn't keep us up at all and imo nearly relegated us

Should have gone after the Bristol City game in May and should never have been allowed the keys to the sweet shop and allowed to sign those players in the summer

Those signings btw are all injured or shock horror can't player 2 games in a week (because they're old and past it )

He effing well did not ‘keep us up’. He avoided relegation by pure chance and by Beale getting us 30 points early season. We stayed up by the fluke of the ball hitting our players on B the line about 4 times v Burnley. Ainsworth has sod all to do with it and his pre season prep and signings were a joke.
Not saying players aren’t responsible, if course they are, but gaz brought less than nothing.

Bare bones.

No need for insults mate. I’m merely pointing out that the situation is not hopeless. There are some dreadful teams around us and we may not need ten wins anyway. Ain’t over till it’s over.
