Vic Keeble RIP 13:17 - Jan 31 with 661 viewsdurham_exile

Very sad news. I did not have the honour to see him play for the U's but he was a highly respected and loyal servant to the club.

Before my time but very sad to hear nonetheless.

A great ambassador for the club, and whose heart was always with the U's.

I never saw him play, but I remember my Dad and Uncle gathering round the radio to listen to him playing for Newcastle the 1955 Cup Final.

And I remember reading the newspaper reports of him helping West Ham get into the then old First Division.

RIP Vic and Up the U's.

Fittingly to be honored with a minutes applause before Saturday's game against Newport .

Poll: No half measure either 1 or 2 ?
