He's been absolutely useless at Spurs. Neither Warburton nor Frank were missed after leaving Brentford and both of them have failed since leaving Bees. Makes me think that Brentford's success is more about their owner, DoF, recruitment and set-up than the manager.
Strip Brentford from Frank's CV and your left looking at a train wreck of a stint at Spurs that ought to make any future suitor of Frank very wary.

Of those, you might argue that Warburton did the best - given size of the club, squad available, etc.

So Ange Postecoglou gets sacked immediately after winning the Europa Cup, their first trophy in 17 years, thereby securing Champions League qualification.

Next up, Thomas Frank secures a place in the last 16 of the Champions League and gets the sack

Both achievements are remarkable given how poor the squad appears to be, despite the quality of the stadium, the owners expectations and the players reputations. The manager isn't the problem.

I'm sure Ange will throw an extra couple of shrimp on the barbie and put a few extra cans in the fridge, in anticipation of inviting Thomas over for an opportunity to swap notes, seeing as Thomas just secured an early release.

Sky Sports seem to be genuinely touting for Harry 'Candle Face' Redknapp to take on temporary role to the summer.

I'm gutted about this.

Really hoped they'd keep him going on full burn and denial of a relegation battle until the cockrel on the turrent to the big boilers dropped below the tideline.
I was loving his failure as, unlike most on this thread, I absolutely f@ckin detest the man.

As for the Spurs car crash I would, (in full Kevin Keegan), love it, love it, if they appointed CandleFace and he took them down with West Ham staying up by a point.
Not that I'm bothered about West Ham but if we can avoid going back to that shithole of a ground and also the City Ground then that's fine by me. Any of the three dropping is good but for the sheer hilarity it would be nice to see the shock on the faces of the Yid Army should it happen.

Although I find Frank annoying, he had a good number and set up at Brentford, of which Keith Andrews is continuing to deliver, well at least for this season. Spurs have just become a corporate venture, stadium, NFL, concerts and a football team.

Keith Andrew’s has the best squad of players Brentford have ever had in the PL to work with.Despite losing 4 main players Manager plus 7 back room staff they have all been replaced by better Mbeumo being the exception.I honestly thought and hoped he would do well at Spurs but he will leave with a hefty pay out that will cushion the blow.8million 3 year contract the money madness of the PL although he was on 5 million at Brentford.

Watching the highlights of their game last night I'm not surprised he's gone. Shocking performance, no pressure on the ball and no desire.

West Ham or Spurs, I can't decide.

Prefer Spurs to drop. They're one of the clubs that were thought to be too big to fail.

Agree Redknapp all over the media it seems the longer he is out of football the better manager he is.Did the same a few weeks back when West Ham were looking relegation certainties.

He’s knees are shot and he won’t want a relegation on his CV.
Sure that happened somewhere before.

I'm not sure Sky has quite risen to the level of power where they can appoint managers.

In any event, sorry to say but Spurs aren't going to go down.

Poll: QPR to finish 7th or Brentford to drop out of the top 6?

Yes. Chimes with my point I think.. To be honest, in today's game I often wonder how much of a club's performance is attributable to the Manager/Head Coach. I think their main role is to be "on message" in terms of the club's philosophy as determined by Owner/CEO/Dof/COO (ie the "suits" above) AND to get the playing squad fully on board with that vision and all pulling in the same direction. Never mind coaching badges, they probably need skills in selling/pitching and psychology/motivation to succeed.

Completely this. brentford have a system that the coach comes into and manages.
Take the man out and they have already identified the successor. Keith Andrews demonstrates this perfectly. Brighton are the same.

Classic right time right place at Brentford, big fish small pond that doesn't translate onto appalling expectation and politics of the bigger clubs. Potter springs to mind.

A Spurs mate also thinks this might happen.

As for Frank, same as Potter. Flattered by being at very well run clubs.

Never warmed to Frank.

However, I really like Willem Dafoe who looks identical.

Spurs in championship would be hilarious.

Have to say Harry Redknapp going to Spurs and taking them down to the Chamionship would prove to the world what Redknapp was - a total chancer !!!

PLEASE MAKE IT HAPPEN.

Got my place recently valued by an Estate Agent who was a Spurs season ticket holder. Said to him would love to go the stadium as it looks superb. He said its sh*t, the atmosphere is cr*p and the football is awful. Let's hope it gets worse.

If ever a profession could be associated with being football fan ;

SPURS & ESTATE AGENTS would be PERFECT BEDFELLOWS !!!!

Apologies to any Rangers on here, who are in the ultimate profession...

The ultimate profession is clearly test pilot for Durex.

Or chief taster for a German brewery.

Wish I'd taken the competition more seriously at Wembley Manor Primary School, nowadays you win the sack race in England, you're paid millions.

I know it's a very unlikely scenario, but imagine if - *if* - Spurs got relegated but won the Champions League.

Leaving the Spurs fans to one side, just imagine how the suits at UEFA would feel .

"Things had started becoming increasingly desperate at Loftus Road but QPR have been handed a massive lifeline and the place has absolutely erupted. it's carnage. It's bedlam. It's 1-1."

If precedent at Spurs is anything to go by, if that scenario happened, then they'd sack the manager.

I went to the stadium to watch Saracens play and the views were good with large Screens in the corners to get a closer look at the opposite ends (not like QPR 's poxy screen that rarely works or lasts for more than 30 seconds before switching off. Also , plenty of food and drink places. Would lov3 to see QPR play Spurs there.

I actually think if Spurs were to drop the big clubs would change the rules to stop it happening again. Too much £££ involved.

Spoke about this with a mate earlier.

We're talking about the only English club who didn't reverse out of the so called Super League a few years back despite fan pressure.

Then they spend two years running in a relegation scrap that they deny they were a part of.
As noted above I'd gladly take any of the teams down there into the EFL but, on reflection, the best of the lot would be the Spuds; so I'm backing Wham and Florist in all the games left.

Cherish and enjoy life.... this ain't no dress rehearsal
