Quote from John Ward in the BBC website preview of Saturday's match.

"We need to win a game and the quicker the better, but if we can stick with our performances and improve them a little bit, and not drift off them like we did in that 45 minutes (against Tranmere) that's our best opportunity to do so.

"We've got to make sure that we stick with our beliefs and do what we've been doing over the past two or three years that has brought us some success and work at it again.

"At the moment, we've hit a spell where it's pretty difficult to put your finger on it and say 'this is what we need to do to get better'.

"I've got goalscorers in the team that aren't able to score a goal or two but we've got to work in a fashion that still gives them that opportunity"

More than one finger is required to point out what needs to be done better. And who was it who recruited most of our "goalscorers" ?

Hardly the most inspirational or motivational speech "from the training ground".

The players have to respond this week though, totally lacklustre from many of our better players at present.

The worrying thing is the statement "stick with our beliefs".

Surely after 1 win in 20 it is time to try something other than 4-5-1 (and boring draw content football)?

1 win in 20 is relegation form sure as dammit. The earlier it's sorted the better - a chairman needs to be proactive rather than reactive and bad form sticks - look at rochdale. Acted to late in getting rid of eyre last season and were stuffed
