The Carling Cup tie will be the first meeting between the two sides at Loftus Road for 24 years, a goalless draw being the result last time the two sides met The Swans have never won at Loftus Road in any competition in 14 previous visits although they have drawn eight of those encounters. The last meeting between the two sides saw the Swans triumph 4-0 at the Vetch in the FA Cup in 2001. With an away capacity of 3000 at the ground, QPR have advised travelling fans that they may pay on the night and it is not expected that the Swans will sell out the capacity of their end. Loftus Road has of course played home to Premiership football in the last few years thanks to the temporary groundshare with Fulham and it will also see a return to QPR for Kenny Jackett after he assisted Ian Holloway through much of the R's promotion season last time around.
