The supporters trust initiative to 'Score with the Swans' has had a steady start this season with the goal total standing currently at £67.20 for every time we find the back of the net this term.

That aside though the number of fans pledging to this scheme stands at under 200 and certainly my feelings would have been that more may have contributed to this scheme which can earn some good money for the club via the trust.

The aim of the scheme is to generate some extra money for the club next season when we move to our new stadium. If the current pledge total could be multiplied five-fold then it is likely to raise somewhere in the region of fifteen to twenty thousand pounds for the club dependent on how many goals the Swans score this season in what we all hope will be a promotion winning side.

Maybe like myself this is something that you have intended to do but have never quite got around to it or maybe even at first glance the scheme seems as if it could cost you a fortune. The reality is this could cost as much or as little as you actually want it to.

The Swans have so far scored 12 league goals in their 12 games to date. On that basis, 46 will be the season's total. However, I would suspect that we will manage somewhere in the region of 60 goals this season.

If we do get that figure then a 25p pledge per goal will cost you £15.00, 50p £30.00 and so on - relatively small figures considering 60 goals is about a season average across the division. Pledges could even start from as low as 10p which on 60 goals would cost just £6.00.

As I said, I certainly have just never got around to completing this form and will be rectifying that today with a pledge of 50p per goal - if 130 people did that from reading this article then straight away the amount earned would would have just about doubled and that is just on the season to date.
