City's Sergio Aguero is playing in fear of injury claims his fellow Argentinian Martin Demichellis. The City striker has suffered an injury-hit season, and Demichelis says it is playing on the striker's mind ahead of the World Cup. He his playing to try and keep City's title dream alive.

Kun Aguero has been hampered by problems this season and is now seriously concerned that another setback would rule him out of the World Cup in Brazil.

Club-mate and compatriot Martin Demichelis has made the revelation ahead of today’s must-win fixture at Crystal Palace .

Speaking to The Sunday People he said “Kun is a little bit afraid. He has this fear inside his head because of all his injuries and with the World Cup fast approaching. But he probably ­arrives at the World Cup in his best physical form and we all know that when he is physically OK, he makes a ­difference on the pitch.

“The guy takes care of himself and is really careful, but you can’t know if you are going to get injured or not.” Aguero has made 17 league starts this ­season and most ­recently ­returned from a ­hamstring issue.
