With Chelsea already sold out and Sunderland tickets selling fast with still over a fortnight to go before the game, Saints have taken the step of releasing an extra block of seats.

Sunderland tickets are selling well with all areas now having limited availability although there are still a fair few tickets together in little blocks in some parts of the ground.

With recent results propelling Saints up the table, the club have put block 43 on sale after Sunderland declined to take the full allocation.

That puts around 800 extra tickets now available to home supporters, with the club knowing that a surge in sales could well see the game heading for a sell out, certainly if Saints were to beat Chelsea then there would be a big surge.

But by then there are unlikely to be that many tickets available, so Saints fans should get their tickets now if they are planning on attending the Sunderland game with anticipation high of a repeat of last season's goal fest, although the Black Cat's showed they are not yet finished by despatching Manchester United last weekend.

Saints push for Europe will be stepping up a gear with this being the third of three vital games which if Saints can continue their recent fine form could see them pushing for not just a top five spot, but even higher
