57% think it's a mid table finish for Rams!
57% think it's a mid table finish for Rams!

According to RamZone readers Derby County FC can expect an improvement in 09/10 with a mid table finish.

RamZone would like to thank the hundreds of readers who took time to vote in our poll which asked the question:

“What do you think the Rams will achieve in the 09/10 season?”

The results were interesting and a reflection of the tentative nature many fans seem to have about Nigel Clough and his smaller band of chargers. With recent inury concerns had the poll been conducted now, the results may have been much different.

57% of voters felt that the Rams will find themselves in middle earth when the season comes to an end. Robbie Savage made recent comments saying that if a mid table finish was the outcome from 09/10 then the team would be very satisfied. It seems most of you agree with that assessment.

18% of you believe Clough has the ability to lift the club to the play offs in his first full season in charge. If he and his men could manage a top 6 finish then it would be seen as a very successful outcome no matter what results were achieved in those games.

9% believed that relegation was a definite possibility and this figure may have been much greater had voters known of the injuries yet to come.

7% thought that Derby would emulate last season and narrowly avoid the drop.

5% had the blind faith to believe that Nigel could achieve a near miracle and achieve automatic promotion by securing a top 2 spot. I hope they are right!

Finally 3% believed the Rams would manage to beat Forest, the Foxes and Toon. Even with such a small percentage I am sure 100% of Rams fans hope that this one will become a reality.

Our new poll is up now asking the question:

“After the first 10 games of the league season how many will the  Rams have won?”
