INJURIES 14:21 - Dec 7 with 2973 viewsEdindale

Slightly concerned about our injury list and the severity of the injuries being sustained. Some of these appear to be training injuries.

It is expected that Rodney will miss a fair few games but unfortunately this coincides with Smith's injury. However Beckwith is particularly a blow and could disrupt our rhythm unless Galvin can provide cover at CB.

A fair few of the squad wont be match fit but good to see Pritchard back although Allarakia has raised his game in recent weeks. Hopefully Manni can stay fit through the festive period and regain his scoring touch!

Will be interesting to see how BJ shuffles the pack next week at Leamington.

While the injury list is a concern, Smith, Whatmuff, Rodney and Beckwith all picked up their injuries in a match rather than anything training related.

The Beckwith one is the most annoying now as it's from a match that means nothing.

Just hope for some luck with it being not as bad as it initially looked.

You are quite right to be concerned.

Surely the biggest concern is the forward line and goalscoring.

Last season when Mitchell stopped scoring, Rodney came up with a late 8 goal burst and Hendo chipped in with 5 goals(all as a substitute). Now with Rodney and Smith sidelined, Mani stopped scoring and Amantchi just not good enough (and returning to Walsall in 3 weeks) there is a major risk that the goals dry up.

None of the midfielders are in the mould of Keohane, Lund and Sinclair who could provide 10 goals in a season.

Hendo could still play a part but Jim seems unwilling to expose him.

Surely a big loan signing is essential to help Mani. Now would be nice.

We are also losing Allarakhia to Afcon.

At present we have 2 keepers, 8 defenders, 9 midfield and wide players, and 2 attackers who are fit and available.

The 2 attackers are Mani and Hendo, who has started one league game this season (Brackley). Amantchi goes back in 3 weeks.

Big problem.

The club know when Amantchi goes back to Walsall so should already be trying to identify replacements.

That means he will miss Morecambe, Hartlepool and probably Brackley by my reckoning.

Strikers problem remains. Pray that Mani stays fit.

And/or free from suspension although he doesn’t appear to be accumulating yellow cards as frequently as early in the season.
