It's amazing really that Bristol City have been a steady Championship club for so long and never promoted to the Premier League. |
Good battling performance against a good footballing team.
If we had 2 decent wide players from the start of the season, and the way VM has turned us around, we could have easily picked up the 6 points difference to sixth place, that Hollywood now sit in.
There was one moment in the 2nd half that summed up Ronald.
He was one to one against their big lump No5, couldn’t beat him, then kicked it out of play on the byline. | | | |

He just doesn’t have what it takes and it hurts me to say it. But he has a reputation that somehow he has built. The number of players on him when he came on probably gave him more respect than he deserved and the commentator on Sky was saying how great it is to have a player like Ronald to come on later in a game. I think everyone can have different opinions and they can change over time. Last season I thought Vipotnik was useless now obviously that has changed. Currently I can't see what all the hype with Yalcouye is about, but if the flashes of excellent play are much more frequent I will probably change my opinion about him. I rated Key highly the first two seasons now he is not worth a place. Opinions can go down as well as up. | | | |

Really enjoyed this win. Slightly fortunate in the sense that Bristol had more chances and possession as well as territory but on a difficult surface where sometimes the ball was skidding nicely and other times slowing down it wasn’t easy to judge the weight of pass. The superb defensive effort must be applauded. Cabango and Burgess were outstanding against difficult opponents who probably deserved a point ( at least tbh ).
Matos has been an inspired choice. I love his enthusiasm his personality and character which all help to instill a feel good factor and positive atmosphere around the Club. He’s a likeable guy too and I’m enjoying going to games again. That was just my ninth game this season but things are looking up again it seems.
Regarding our squad, it seems stronger with better options off the bench now. Lots of competition throughout the team except possibly at centre back . Yalcouye was superb yesterday and Walta looks good. If we can beat Preston then keep it quiet who knows …. | |

Thats very fair. I think if we get a good right back in Ronalds role will be required less and we may be able to play with an outright attacking winger. I think Galbraith will remain at RB until he leaves in the summer so we will be in the status quo until then, unless Nunes shows the quality to be a regular starter. Incidentally with Nunes being subbed just after halftime, does anyone think that he was given specific instructions at the break and didn't follow them, prompting Ronald to come on who did. | | | |
