I have to say that’s a pretty awful assessment of the match but in particular the slagging off of individual players is way over the top and inaccurate on most instances. Cabango was far from his best but those remarks are way off. Of course we were poor in the first half. Individually I’m not sure any of pf our players who started would be satisfied with their individual efforts. But we came to life in the second half. Helpded by changing 50% of our outfield by the way including three at half time. There was no lack of effort throughout but in that first half we just didn’t get going collectively or individually. But that report is awful. And uneccessary. We are improving. On a big upward curve. We are allowed 45 minutes of underperforming. |

A strange game. After the razzmatazz before the game the atmosphere was unusually flat in the first half and we looked terrible on the pitch too. Preston were much the better side but the second half was a different story helped by the three half time changes there was a better balance to the team wifh more urgency intensity and movement. A superb Cullen header to rescue a point from an outstanding delivery to send everyone home ( reasonably ) happy. Disappointing from Ronald and Walta you’d think that Yalcouye deserves a start too. He’s a live wire who can spark things for us and wasnt Nunes good too. 👏🏻 |

Really enjoyed this win. Slightly fortunate in the sense that Bristol had more chances and possession as well as territory but on a difficult surface where sometimes the ball was skidding nicely and other times slowing down it wasn’t easy to judge the weight of pass. The superb defensive effort must be applauded. Cabango and Burgess were outstanding against difficult opponents who probably deserved a point ( at least tbh ). Matos has been an inspired choice. I love his enthusiasm his personality and character which all help to instill a feel good factor and positive atmosphere around the Club. He’s a likeable guy too and I’m enjoying going to games again. That was just my ninth game this season but things are looking up again it seems. Regarding our squad, it seems stronger with better options off the bench now. Lots of competition throughout the team except possibly at centre back . Yalcouye was superb yesterday and Walta looks good. If we can beat Preston then keep it quiet who knows …. |

Interesting read. My father was born in 1935 in Townhill so he would have been 5 then . I’m pretty sure that he and his older brother were moved down to Carmarthen on a train for safety wifh lots of other children. In this modern entitled world we sometimes need to realise how fortunate we are in some ways. Those were tough times that developed tough people. My mother was born in 1940. Still alive and another tough cookie. That’s how they were and are. |

You need to be watching games live if you’re going to slag off players as a lot of the work done is off the ball and therefore not on camera. A player will only touch a ball for 3/4 minutes in a game if he’s lucky so you can clearly see that almost all of their work is off the ball stuff. Ronald can frustrate as he can be inconsistent with his end product but if he was the complete and world class player he’d be worth £100m plus and playing at Man City or Arsenal. He’s doing ok and I like his work rate and passion. If he can be more composed in those crucial moments especially with decision making he could make it at a higher level. As for Onehunglow: stick to rugby although on second thoughts your knowledge of that is very limited too. Empty vessels make the most noise as they say … |

On the way to Heathrow on Monday I called at Reading Services around 4-30pm . A Swansea City team were there in tracksuits with coaches etc. some of them had first team squad numbers on the tracksuits. One of the coaches said there were a Swansea “ Development “ team so I assumed they were on the way to a London club? Do we have an under 21s plus development squad ? |

Strangely, bizarrely he seems to have been a bit of a fans favourite at Swansea. Even having his own song already without actually doing anything of note yet. One for the future possibly, this is a good move for him potentially. And for Swansea City in the medium to longer term. |

Key has shown that he can be a quality right back but he does lack consistency. Against Man City for example and up against the likes of Doku and Nouri he did well. It might be a confidence issue with him but he’s more than capable of being a Swansea City right back and deserves his place in the squad currently. His ability to get forward quickly is an asset and as with Tymon ( who has been outstanding this season ) that has to happen in modern football anyway. |

Not lies but easily misunderstood , misinterpreted and arguably misleading As I said earlier his actual comment was ; When I was at Swansea WE tried to sign …. So nothing wrong with that. |

That’s a misleading heading Further down it says ; “ When I was at Swansea WE tried to sign him “. |

He said; “ When I was at Swansea, we tried to sign him “ That’s right isn’t it. |

Agreed. Personal attacks of players and managers which are unsubstantiated and without any substance in the main should not be encouraged. Especially as they aren’t here to defend themselves. By all means have an opinion but try to be objective. Slagging off constantly is a bit waring. For everyone. Pulling something apart with hindsight is easy. |

I didn’t see today’s game but it’s obvious that a couple of errors were costly. Cabango and Vipotnik seem to have cost us three points. We are improving. Much better to watch. More enjoyable and interesting with an energetic style. Getting forward quicker in possession and closing down opponents higher up the pitch and doing it with an intensity. Individual errors happen in every game. Unfortunately today they were costly. Van Dyke cost Liverpool a defeat earlier when he missed a simple ball completely. It was windy today which no doubt made for difficult conditions. You seem to relish it when we lose. You may be just on a constant wind up which would be sad. Either way you’re not contributing anything of note to this forum. I’d have thrown you off it by now. |
