Size 5 feet he had. | |

4-1 away that season was against Bolton I think. I was at that game. Also at the BC game. Got train from Paddington which must have stopped at Parkway. What happened then I don’t know but I remember getting a ride on a Swans supporters’ double decker bus. How I got back to Parkway I have no recollection.

Rumour was some Bristol Fans got let out early? Meat wagons charging around through crowds of Swans fans. Police line up truncheons drawn preventing progress of Swans fans. Seemed badly organised.

I did mention a couple of days ago that there was problems marching the Bristol supporters back to the station last year. We can't handle 2,500 away supporters many travelling independently by train.

There were 2,500 very well behaved Oxford fans at the stadium at the end of last season. The ones dressed as bananas were impressive, but the guy dressed as a Baxi boiler got my vote!

I'm still not convinced by the Burgess & Cabango partnership at the back however but in fairness they worked much better doubling up on Armstrong this week than they did vs the Derby lump last week - a positive. If we are to challenge up the top next season we do need more strength in this position to achieve more consistent results. I agree with another poster on here that Vip could work a bit harder to hold the ball up or put more pressure on the centre halves to give us an out ball, in saying that however when you look at some of the best premier league strikers they do very little off the ball now which seems to be the way so perhaps i'm too old fashioned in wanting a bit more physicality or involvement from our striker. The seeds have been planted for further progress which is the most important thing and gives me confidence that Matos can continue to evolve this team with a few new additions into a candidate for promotion next season. I still cant see us getting into the play offs this season because of our away form,I really hope i'm proved wrong.

I also felt the crowd support was instrumental in getting us over the line particularly in the last five minutes. A special shout out in that regard to North West Corner who are very vocal recently, watch out NE or Matos and the players will be going over there after the games.
| Swansea City v Bristol City : Match day thread on 10:48 - Feb 24 with 200 views | RichardO | They closed us down well and we still tried to play the passing game in very tight areas of the pitch,at throw ins we let them get organised, we saw the quick ball over for Eom to chase made them look vulnerable as they pressed up, Eom had space to feet from throw ins if we took them quickly but we didn't. We got boxed in at times which we didn't need to be as their high line defence looked slow. Little bit too much football gaining unthreatening possession with little to pin them back resulting in the need for some resolute defending and a bit of luck. [Post edited 24 Feb 12:38]

I can vouch for that. My season is in the East, in the safe standing area. However, as my 9 year old grandson is slowly changing his allegiance from Man City to the Swans and there are no seats spare around me, I swap my seat on a match to match basis( I don't want to give my seat up and he can only make weekend games) to exactly the same seat in the North West so I can take him. The atmosphere there is equally as good as the East

It’s been a slow burner but will be on fire tonight.
