Ivan Katalinić - One of the early foreign imports. A goal keeper for Saints, in 80's.
Was even capped by former Yugoslavia, but was absolute tosh, but not as bad as Steve Baker !! |

I would say yes to Alcarez and Bella Kotchap, but most of the others take about in this thread are the same players that got us related and didn't perform, a year ago. I can't imagine much has changed since then. |

Wasn't Ings a life-long Saints fan ? It didn't stop him jumping ship. Footballers are very fickle when it comes to loyalty. It's like a tap, they turn it on when it suits. |

I am going to savour the moment today and the day at Wembley yesterday, is up there with one of the best.
However, I have not changed my opinion on the possession based football, Martin is obsessed with and himself admitting he will not change.
We will have to adapt as It will not work in the Premiership. Even the teams at foot of Championship worked us out.
Jo Tessem said after the game, much will depend on the players we sign and I couldn't agree more. I only hope we can convince Downes to stay. I think there is a good chance. He will not want to go back to West Ham as a bench warm again.
Whilst we have a relatively large squad, many of these are not ready or have the ability to perform at the top level. [Post edited 27 May 8:19]

What a day ! Not sure my ticker could take another ending like that. Not checked, but it was over 10 mins extra time.
When James shot hit the bar, it was like slow motion.
Will now enjoy a few more beers (but not at £8 - they were charging today !). |

Walkers defending for Mainoo's goal was awful, but you don't hear any commentators slate him for it. Any other defender they would be criticising him. |

This was months ago, at start of year, or has Martin re-iterated those comments after West Brom game, where Sunak attended ?
Regardless of any political allegiance, I think it was childish of Martin to make those comments. He attended the game as a Saints supporter, not in his Prime Minister capacity. [Post edited 22 May 9:27]

I would have thought a supporter would want to secure their ticket as soon as possible, even it they can leave it late and rely on an E-Ticket ? High risk if you really want to go. |

I did wonder after I clicked 'buy' whether I should have gone for 'E' ticket and not post. Don't recall seeing the option. Too busy watching the count down clock to complete transaction.
