So sorry for your loss Charlie, huge condolences to your family.
I've been using this forum for nearly twenty years and over that time you kinda get to know other posters to a degree. We've all exchanged personal things from time to time on here. Its not all about QPR. I always admired how he stopped drinking alcohol to focus looking after his family. That always stuck with me, being a family man myself. I loved his stories of going to away games back in the 70s and 80s with the lads, after work in the back of his transit, causing carnage..lol.
I only knew him from this forum but he seemed like a top bloke and will be missed. I did think about him Saturday after our 5-0 win, and hopefully he got to enjoy QPR one final time. RIP Ted

I dont know if weve spent anymore then previous seasons, but our squad looks the best its been for over 10 years. Maybe the injuries are letting us down or so we thought. But the strength in depth is getting us through it. I didnt see the Brum game, but ive watched most of the others, and there's a vast improvement. Massive props should go towards Julien Stephan of course. |

Done. The only one that I had to think about is the question regarding our priorities and where we want to be in three years. Premier league or financial sustainability was the conundrum. Surely for financial sustainability we would need some premier league money? . Weve seen what happens when our priority is not spend and cut wages. Isn't that what weve been doing for the last decade? I went with premier league. |

Tbf I never said we should give Nourry huge props or even start getting the bunting out. I just thought its only fair to give Nourry some props after a 5-0 win and a magnificent performance.
Nourry has clearly ruffled a few feathers at the club and support base. Just seems weird some of the attitude on here. I even got a down vote from Antti. Not sure all the reasons behind this reluctance to give the guy some credit for helping to build a very good team, after that performance and result. Im not on the payroll btw im just very unsure about the level of critism aimed at him. Ive also been critical of him too btw and im not pointing fingers at anyone. [Post edited 25 Oct 17:45]

I think thats being slightly disingenuous. Yes, theres areas of the club that needs improvement, injuries are a problem, communication is still an issue. But player and manager recruitment has improved. If you cant give props to the guy who made those player purchases after a 5- nil win, when can you?
I know its still early in the season and as we all know from previous campaigns, it can unravel very quickly. But that team out there yesterday are playing out of their skins, playing for each other, real strong characters and deserve all the plaudits.
Maybe I have gone a bit early with giving some credit to Nourry, but if we lost yesterday we would all be quick to criticise him and vocalise our concerns. |

Its a weird one this injury thing. I kinda get it. The angles we all look at this, and our own understanding of how this club works. We seem to be doing a lot of things right atm, but we are getting let down by a certain department at the club. I think the issue started when the club wouldn't give out any information regarding injuries and now the main talking point is injuries. Unfortunately for the club, if you are going out of your way to pull the wool over everyone's eyes regarding injuries and then suddenly you have a massive injury problem, then the spotlight will be on that department. Its standard QPR. We've got some of the best journalists in football at our club. This site and other similar fan groups are a fly in the ointment for Nourry.
Ben Williams seems to be the main culprit and the one Nourry is covering for.
He should go. Its obvious he's causing an issue. |

Watched Heart of the Beast. I really wanted this to be good , but it was a bit daft. Odin the dog should get an Oscar though. Emotional ending.

Mad as a box of frogs and bit of a loose cannon, but I like him. Decent player, doesn't give anyone an easy game, including his own team sometimes, but thats a real shame if its is ACL. Wish him all the best recovery. |
