HALL RIGHT NOW: Revealed - The true story behind Ali Al Faraj
at 12:38:59

I got a phone call from the FBI earlier this year, but not about these guys;-) its amazing where blogs go.
I think the cops will just refer everything to baker Tilly and say there is an investigation under way. Also, while loads of money being siphoned off looks bad to us, in many cases it will be a civil wrong not a criminal wrong. As for Azougy's clear crimes, well someone has to make a complaint about them and Portpin have to waive client privilege. However much they might dislike Azougy they aren't going to try and get him prosecuted in a million years. His employer likes to give people free rides into space when they turn the ignition key.

HALL RIGHT NOW: Why PFC owe Portpin absolutely nothing...
at 12:17:29

Baker Tilly have investigated that land and it looks like they are ruling that PFC are still owed the £4m by Miland, hence Portpin were given this debt in the accounts when they took us out of admin.

So that was effectively another £4m free gift they were given.

HALL RIGHT NOW: Why PFC owe Portpin absolutely nothing...

Dinksy, I think the administrators have figured it out. However, challenging it in court diminishes creditor funds - which opens up PKF to legal challenge. Trevor was going to pursue it I think when he planned to hand Pomoey to the trust, which is why he's been sidelined. Too risky to do the rut thing, instead kick it up the road to the fl and let them get sued instead...

Rosette, it may be legal although the analyst who spoon fed me most of it (too bashful to take the credit), was very wobbly about that. For instance, the £4m taken in feb 2010 is almost certainly not legal.

However, baker Tilly are the ones with the job of working this all out. There are more chapters to this intrigue I think, although what their report will eventually say god only knows. What will they make of Azougy?
