βItβs hard to believe right now but weβll go down there and definitely give them a good game.
βWeβre really looking forward to it.
βItβs a long trip, but the boys will go out there and enjoy the whole occasion β and thatβs what itβs all about.
βPlayers at this level very rarely get that opportunity, so weβll soak every little minute in and go and enjoy ourselves...

Playing out from the back, slow, no urgency and link up play up front non existent . Possession lost far to infrequently in the middle of the park. Apart from Sesay who has show glimpses but still learning the basics, the loanees have been ineffective.
Sadly playing like when Mullins was manager ( sorry ) says it all . |

The FA are due to confirm to clubs by 6pm tomorrow (Thursday 22nd October) if their scheduled tie will be chosen for TV Coverage. 8 ties will be selected for coverage across that weekend. By Friday, The FA will confirm in full, dates and kick off times for all ties, those not selected for TV coverage will take place on Saturday 7th November 2026 at 3:00pm. |

How DID we get anything from that ?
Couple of games this season we have taken a point when a win was more likely, so getting a point tonight should be rejoiced. Yes we hanged in a game for long periods, the first half was particularly harrowing, never getting any foothold in the game, should have conceded three or four.
But like Saturday the 60 mins subs made such an impact, probably out of frustration they made four which totally disrupted the flow and rhythm and gave us a way in. Has well has a equaliser, (great cross from Thorn) rattled the bar in the final seconds.
So a bovril performance, loved getting something out of it, but totally overran for a hour, which was an unpleasant a hour have encountered for a long time .

Think DC was out subbed by his opposite number. Although totally agree with his changes and set up on the hour mark, we lost a higher possession percentage of the ball thereafter. Perhaps their bench was stronger in depth, but the changes for ourselves lost momentum. Sometimes it works out for the better, but in this instance it did not . |

Numbers have been confirmed for the first round FA Cup draw.
The Uβs allocated ball number 13. Strangely no representation of any Essex non league team.
Itβs time for a up for the cup run has ball no 77 does not represent are Essex Trophy holders, but their victors Berkhampsted. Nearest local side would be Hornchurch, but several sides we have been drawn with previously being Oxford City, Dover, Rushden .
A live televised game would invariably mean a tricky away fixture or Leicester . |

Looked solid, but unspectacular. Actually without Payne and Anderson thought we played quite well.
The best bet was to score from a set piece, which is not are forte, but Tuckers effort from the corner was the closest either side came to scoring. Must be the biggest side we have put out for a long time, with Digby and Williams solid pair in the middle. Draw was right with both keepers not over pressed. |

Signed for the Uβs ten years ago on a two year contract. Made 20 appearances has left footed midfielder but never really establishes a first team place when he got injured which kept him out most of the first season, on his return got another different injury which again kept him out the side for a long period and was then released by McGreal.

According to pre match interview it emerged that he has a serious hamstring injury, which unfortunately the opposition found out about between the Thursday and Saturday.
Seems Mullins coped better knowing than he did.
Somehow we need to find a makeshift centre forward sharpish or another bottom two finish looms .
The exciting times ahead have rapidly disappeared. |
