Sean Raggett says he is confused by where he stands at Norwich - and is open to a Pompey return.
The centre-half had a shaky start to life at Fratton when he joined on loan from the Canaries a year ago, but a string of consistent performances saw the fans warm to him big-time.
For now he is effectively back with Norwich - but it seems the just-relegated team from Norfolk are not falling over themselves to welcome him back.
Raggett told The News: ‘I’m not too sure what’s happening next, to be honest. This is the first time I have been out of contract, so it’s all a bit up in the air at the moment, I am seeing what comes up.
‘That whole Norwich situation is a bit confusing to me, I don’t really know what is going on. I think I’m out of contract, but Norwich haven’t spoken to me. I’m in limbo, it’s a bit strange at the moment.
‘The last time they spoke to me personally was before the lockdown – I haven’t heard anything since. They would have had to tell me by now if they were taking up my option, but they haven’t mentioned anything.
‘I’d be interested in Pompey. I want to consider any options which come my way and take it from there. I’m quite open minded. There’s always a chance of coming back to Pompey.
‘Any conversations I will keep to myself. I won’t be talking about anything to do with that. Although I would definitely consider returning. Since the season ended, I have spoken to the gaffer (Kenny Jackett). He was pleased with how I did.
Raggett joined Norwich from Lincoln in 2017 and could be important to Pompey's plans now Christian Burgess, his regular defensive partner last season, has headed to Belgium.
