I’m a couple of drinks in so apologies in advance but I was enjoying an evening with the missus watching TV when I saw the news regarding Adel Taarabt retiring and wanted to post something.
I’m 45, have had a season ticket for nearly 20 years, and as such am not old enough to have truly appreciated Marsh, Bowles, Stainrod, or even Wegerle, although he and Paul Parker were my first QPR heroes.
But thinking about Taarabt hanging up his nutmegs (he prefers them), I doubt that, in my lifetime, I will ever see a player as gifted as Adel wear the blue and white hoops of QPR. It’ll take some beating.
I know the band got broken up when we got promoted, but thanks, Adel. What a player you were.
Look forward to his Forever R’s induction.
