I remember as a keeper unpainted balls(ooer) which soaked up every molecule of water on the pitch and it was like fielding a medicine ball.Still stuck like glue though. | |

These were the next generation up, you really didn't want to get hit by one on a cold day. They looked like they were designed in 1970.
Then we upgraded to nice soft £30 Mitre's oh joy. | |
