Great report! Thought Hamer had a bad start. Keepers should never ever be beaten at their near post. The point blank save at the end was a good positioning though. We were also very luck with both rebounds. Normally they fly miles away but these two stuck and dropped perfectly. On the other hand at least we had bodies in the box to react. |

This time next year, England finally return to South Africa after a six year gap. Cape Town Newlands 2020 was an amazing match - Stokes again with a quick fire 75 then an awesome bowling spell to win the match in the last hour. 12 hour flight but no jet lag! The match v India was really good but it is wierd how bad India are in home tests now, after being whitewashed by NZ last year. Hope The Ashes is just as entertaining. |

The one day I went there it was minus 8 in leafy Bucks on the way to the station. Won't say what it was like when we got to Blackburn other than all the snoods in M&S were sold out. The walk warmed us up though. |

Great watch. The most amazing recollection - apart from Ralph Coate's hairstyle (sadly deceased at the age of 64) - is that West Ham ended the day top of the table. |

Thanks for all the helpful replies. Yes, you have to email the box office and I got a quick response. They are hoping to provide an online option one day. All we need to do now is stop losing at home... |

The club has a promotion which allows you to buy up to eight tickets at a good discounted rate. You can then redeem them by the end of the season, either for one ticket per game, or multiple tickets per game(s). All subject to availability of course. I'm a season ticket holder but I've just purchased eight "flexi" tickets as my wife wants to make use of a spare seat next to me over eight remaining games. Only snag is that the email and website guide gives no clue on how to redeem them. If I try to buy a future home game it wants more money, not the redemption! Typical Ticketmaster service I suppose but does any one have any info before I try ringing up? |
 | Forum Reply | Town’s four-star Halloween fright night leaves Rangers reeling – Report at 15:41 3 Nov 2025
As well as the left back being too raw, it did not help that Chair was presumably the covering midfielder. As soon as I saw the selection I said to be son we are in trouble on the left. Just surprised only the two goals came down that side. A pacey winger like Smyth would have helped. In fact, it's hard to see how to pick Chair with two up front, as he can't cover a full back and would make a two man midfield too puny. Hope the manager learns from this. |

Nobody has really mentioned the dire state of the Aussie batting. Apart from Smith (who is clearly declining) and Head, they are in crisis as shown by the three tests against the Windies and the World Championship defeat by South Africa. They even tried Green as No 3, with limited success. This is a real chance for England. [Post edited 10 Oct 18:39]

Glass half full: if we had beaten Wednesday and Oxford as expected would have been joint top. |

To be strictly accurate, you can't be offside from a penalty. As well as staying out of the box, all players must stand behind the ball so if you get ahead it's a foul penalty with a retake not an offside. But like Clive that's a new one on me. |

What another brilliant report. For me, the key word is expectation rtaher than complacency. When expected to beat opposition, we seem to lack belief and conviction. The coach needs to change that somehow. |

Big deflection but deserved the luck for such a grest run. |

Thanks for the report. All the right topics were covered with some good follow-up questions. But what a load of gobbledegook in response, even allowing for being non native language speakers [Post edited 30 Jul 17:26]

Great figure in QPR's history. Not sure how far Gregory undermined him or supercharged him. Also, the McLintock signing was really significant. This is a good read - Gordon Jago: Leading from the front — Column 6th Jan 2021 13:24On the fiftieth anniversary of Gordon Jago taking charge of Queens Park Rangers for the first time, AKUTR’s columnist Simon Dorset reflects on his often overlooked transformative influence on our club and the wider sport. 8 |

I remember vividly the new TV lounge bouncing up and down during the half time pundit sessions - watched on catch up by me of course - when we were one up at home to Chelsea in our first Prem season. Ray Wilkins remarked on it and looked very worried. |

Wow, the minutes are a cracking read. Thanks for posting it. I loved the reference to "vomitories" in the section on Millwall fan behaviour and can tell you it does not mean what you might think. |
