Wednesday away, Saturday away

Still not considering the supporters here though Beef .
If you could run us through how you or anybody else is travelling to Blackburn on a weds & home again weds/running in to thursday , then on to Norwich saturday is not going to feel a bit below par .
What are your travel plans for these next two games ?
Maybe you have a better travel itenerary than your fellow fans , please share as happy to try a better system than my current one & if i'm feeling the effects without running around for 95 mins each game then the players may well be too.

First off it isnt 3 games in a week as hull was last week & when we play Brum on dec 9th both teams will play sat & tuesday so the same time between games . How is it right the home side this saturday do zero trips & have 1 extra day to prepare whilst R's will travel to Rovers get home 3am thursday if no road closures then onwards to their actual homes & be back in the coach to Norwich again friday ?
Even if we go along the lines of its ok for the club to be cheated in this way maybe spare a thought for the fans , i get home 4:30pm thurs from rovers & out the door 07:40 for Norwich saturday on a bus replacement.
After a similar trip to Swansea i was shattered come the saturday away to Derby & though i am a keen supporter it takes the edge off the 2nd away trip & reduces anticipation which was born out on the pitch , however the travel & match tickets remain expensive despite seeing a sub standard 3rd game .
I appreciate some of you may be talking from the point of view of watching on tv but there is a massive difference between pressing the off switch on the remote & battling back from some god forsaken place late midweek & then playing so soon after whilst the other team goes nowhere & are in their beds tuesday night .

Yes you would hope it evens out but it does not for the entire season.
Norwich away last season played Millwall home boxing day & then sat waiting for us whilst R's drove back from swansea in the fog & coach to Norwich for a midday kick off , to have this happen once is bad , twice in 2 seasons is plain unfair .
I notice Norwich dont have this all season , we were dire at Derby after a similar week away at Swansea being away twice in such a short space of time is even more unfair on the supporters who not only dragged this way & that across the country but get to see a sub standard performance because of this .

Ashes thread

I agree 100% , it is a five day game so plenty of time to bat for a minimum of 80/90 overs which even at just 3 an over is 240/270 in a day & puts any team in the game.
Instead we go after the new ball with predictable results & only batted 32.5 overs , whatever happened to the openers seeing off the new ball to protect those further down the order?
The worst thing about this style of cricket is that a 5 day test played in perfect weather has virtually no chance of making it to day 5 & at this rate even day 4 is looking highly unlikely.

As i arrive in East London for the 12/12.30 kick offs i use the Goldengrove in Stratford as central bar does not sell Ale until 11am & then it's a scrum to get served . Really empty in the Grove & easy to get food etc , i do however steer clear of there if West Ham are at home the same day to avoid being told by 100 people that their uncle used to drive for the Krays .

Why Wednesday?
at 14:10 28 Oct 2025

Third div south is correct , thinking of both the fans & players cast your minds back to last xmas when we were away to Swansea 26th dec (no trains bus home in the fog) & then 3 days later midday kick off away to Norwich (no trains until the day of the match) , Whilst Norwich were a home to Wall & sat at home waiting for us. Don't worry though it will surely even up , this season we are away to Blackburn weds 26th nov then Norwich sat 29th away & they play tuesday at home no travel & then us on the sat just like at Derby . As far as i can see the advantage of playing at home to a side who were away weds night does not come round all season .
I also make it at least 4 seasons since we were at home boxing day & 29th of dec , this is all looking a tad unfair .

I understand that Loftboy will be travelling from Lowestoft to Swansea for wednesdays game so

I will be making the trip & staying the night from near Diss in Norfolk & Stowmarketrange who is virtually halfway there in Suffolk is also travelling & taking an overnight coach back at 1am after the game . Who else will be joining us in South Wales ?

Swansea and Derby tickets

Has to be worth an email to enquire , the Derby tickets are printed as i bought one from the box office before the Oxford game so they should have sent them together .
Buying Swansea away before the Millwall game as every time i order online i have similar problems .
