![]() Monday, 16th May 2011 18:20 by Col Twenty year old Dale keeper Matty Edwards has prolonged his time at Spotland for a third season by putting his name on a new twelve month contract. The former Leeds man has been back up for the first team since arriving at Elland Road back in the Summer of 2009, and whilst he hasn't progressed beyond just one first team appearance, the fact that he has remained whilst many other keepers have gone separate ways shows the faith that the management have in him. The one appearance came as a second half sub in the home derby against Oldham last season, chalking up thirty one minutes of action without conceding.
