Steve Eyre: "Unfortunately at the end of our good spell they scored from a long throw, we learnt from it after, but a goal was done and it was tough. Nobody is upset, we've just got to regroup and take lots of positives out of it and hopefully we can take that out on someone else. I wasn't fazed by any of it, but at the same time it's not about me, but I certainly enjoyed it." (Radio Manchester)

Gary Megson: ""It was a very good day because we scored our first goal, got our first point, first clean sheet and first win. That's a full house and great to get on the first day. I thought we were very good today, we said to the players what we wanted out of the first game and got the lot. Rob is always good for a goal from a set piece and what a strike that was from David.
