Bignot Leaves Rangers
Bignot Leaves Rangers

Marcus Bignot has left QPR and looks set to join League One side Millwall although there is late interest from elsewhere.

As mentioned, Biggy looks likely to join Millwall on an 18 month deal, despite the Official QPR Website reporting that he is in negotiations with 2 unamed clubs. The popular former R's defender has been on loan at the New Den for the past two months and has become as popular with the Lions faithful as he was at Rangers.

In two spells with the R's, Marcus made a total of 193 appearances in all competitions and captained the side under John Gregory last season as we secured our Championship status.

On leaving QPR, Bignot told the Official QPR Website;

"I'm disappointed to be leaving QPR, but I do so with many fond memories. The promotion party at Hillsborough is a day I will remember for the rest of my life, while it was also tremendously satisfying to skipper the side to Championship survival last season.

I've thoroughly enjoyed my time here and I wish the Club, and its fantastic fans, every success in the future. You are the Rangers boys, stand up and make some noise."

A genuinely nice guy, on and off the pitch and all of us here at Loft for Words would like to say a BIG THANK YOU and wish Biggy all the very best at his new club!!
